snowrose just wants to remind the slaves that there is a chain of command in GS. slaves bring their problems or grievances to the fg. If she cannot handle it, or the slave wants the Slave Master or Council to act on it, she will pass it on.
This includes any problems you have with snowrose. she is well aware that she is not perfect, and is not thin-skinned.
Under no circumstance, do you complain about it to the Free. They do not concern Themselves with petty issues .

The Council of Captains
The Council is not administering the requests of the Free. Understand this is NOT the fault of the Council of Captains it is that RT sometimes interferes and We all understand that. We simply need more advisors and Captains who are willing to be active. We currently have the problem of nothing getting done. Part of the Problem is two-fold as I see it. One is actually the lack of Captains participating in the site... that does not mean showing up for a drink and a screw but should mean taking active part and the planning of events such as festivities and game nights.
The second part, and in My mind the most important, is the rule that Council decisions must be unanimous. That is simply silly if not stupid. Under the current rules, one Captain could, in effect, hold the whole Council at hostage. One Captain votes No and nothing is done and nothing being done is the main problem.
The result is that good people are ignored and nothing gets done... to Me and many others this is unacceptable. The result is that they leave and We suffer the results. ( At this point I don't know why Tanthios denounced his pledge but I do know that he was responsible for many of the changes in the site. A hard working Gorean with the best interest of Our Home at heart. )
I suggest that the number of Captains be increased and that it only require a 2/3 vote of the Council to induct a new Captain. In the meantime the number of Advisors should be increased by at least 2 members and that temporarily the Advisors be given a vote on Council until the number of ACTIVE Captains be increased to at least three to five.
It is important to remember that We have Members from all over the world and this fact should be reflected in the in the make-up of the Council and the Advisors.
I believe this change cannot be left to the Council. It must be voted on by all currently active members both Masters and slaves. An individual should have at least three votes from the Members to be considered for filling empty slots as either Captain or Advisor. I would further suggest that Jarl Thorrn be made a Captain immediately.

Yes, the books were written with horny teen-aged boys in mind, but in the course of 30 or so books, the author has created an incredible world which we are trying to create , or re-create, in role-play. And the world He created should be respected. After all, we don't go changing Shakespeare's Plays, or Stephen King's stories. We present them with adherence to them as written. Over my close to 20 years on Gor I( have seen lots of rooms fail because they DON'T adhere to the rule as established in the books. The many on-line-isms that creep in destroy them. Other than that, I agree that something needs to be done to save this site. And if I remember correctly, when It was started, One of the aims was to do Gor by the books. I knew many of the folks who began Gorean Shores.

we want to be slaves and we love serving all free but it is the nature of all that when you find the one that you choose to serve your heart goes to them and it hurts when they choose to want you also but cant.. now in the books they would just take the slave.. or do a congulera for her.. but we do not have those ether... now shimmer loves all of the free here and gladly serves them all yes she had one that owned her heart at one time but with her absents she does not know if those feelings are still there and she is waiting to have a captain test her for red silks.. but again shimmer herself is to blame also since she has not been around as much.

The skills can be trained and learned by observation and discusssion like in the forum or in taking part in nights in the tavern and in educating slaves with the help of some tools. That will also do well in this.
