a short summary of the reply to why slaves have to speak 3rd person in GS is, it shows the slaves and makes them feel to be slaves. There are not many ways in online Gor to symbolize the staus in the talking/typed words. Using 3rd person speech is very helpful for that and does the slaves well. As Master and slaves state there on the corks.

however, just because a slave does not speak in third, it doesn't mean she doesn't fully understand the slave in her. To hazine, it is a very personal thing. She is fully aware of just how much of a slave she is in many ways. The only time hazine does -not- like to use third person is when narrating.
