Slaves using first person speech in GS and on the GS board

Rollo the Ax~~~ LOL...LOL.. Well folks...it is time to start this weeks forum..... So lets * DO IT *...LOL.. usual rules....no begging to enter or leave for slaves during the forum, keep the greetings and personal talk to whispers to make it easier for the record keepers, and EVERYBODY gets to speak their minds, slave and Free alike, as long as it is done in a respectful manner...for BOTH, okay ????

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding as the Senior Captain opens the forum~

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *Listening for the first topic, He sits quietly*

Gornt~~~ ~listening as Rollo opens the Forum~

Rollo the Ax~~~ first off, if we make it a topic or just a * reminder *....LOL.. It has been brought to the attention of the Council that a few kajira have been * slipping * at times... in postings here and on the message board, into * first person * speech.... This should NOT happen... slaves are required to use third person in ANY public posting...

calia{GS}~~~ ~* calia softly responds to the words of her deeply respected Owner...~* yes Master....

jasma{GS~FG}~~~ ~listening to Master Rollo.. nodding head understanding the rules of GS concerning first person speech not permitted for the slaves.. ~

arianna{HK}~~~ ~listens and nods as she hears Master Rollo's words~

zoya{GS}~~~ ~*~whispers her reply to her Master~*~ aye Master

jacia{GS}~~~ listening to Master Rollo

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding as I listen to the Captain~

Lemuel~~~ ~glancing over to the lovely first girl, reaching out to pull her closer~

jasma{GS~FG}~~~ ~breathing in deeply.. dropping the scrolls as Master pulls her closer.. closing eyes for an ehn.. she moans softly.. then reaches for the papers she dropped.. going back to the note taking.. ~

Rollo the Ax~~~ If anybody has a different topic PM Me with it and we can get the ball rolling..... And BTW folks... Just keep working around Me if it seems that I am not quick to respond...My server is going VERY SLOW... so I am here, just slower than usual....LOL..even for ME ......LOL.

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *Navy blue eyes look down to the girl, smiling as He strokes Her head, thinking to Himself He had a list of questions the other day, now His mind has gone blank.

Recap of the same sex issue from Sundays' Forum

Rollo the Ax~~~ Anybody with a topic ??? PM Me with it....At the other forum, yesterday, the topic of FW trying to use kajira for same sex stuff came up.. and was covered.... and Lemuel just brought up the point that in * Magicians * the law in Ar was that any FW who * furred * a slave became a slave Herself.....It should be noted that such a law was ONLY meantioned to be in effect in Ar....

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *Remembering a FW that used to frequent the tavern, and She spoke freely of her needs, however she disappeared..*

Slave's wants and needs

This topic was briefly touched on, but i will post the notes for it. It will be one of the carry over topics of next week.

arianna{HK}~~~ ~wonders if there is a topic~

SabreWolf~~~ 2 or 3 I could think of off the top of My head,,grins,,

Mandi~~~ ~~listens intently to SabreWolfe~~

Ceredigawn~~~ Then spit one out Sabre...*LOL*

shifra{MKn}~~~ *gazes up at the tip of Master Sabrewolfs head...looking for tonites elusive topics*

arianna{HK}~~~ ~smiling at she hears Master SabreWolf's words wondering what His topics are~

Rollo the Ax~~~ Okay....a topic....how about We discuss slave wants verses slave needs...and how much We should give them...ect,ect...seems some slaves want more than to be pleasing... Opinions and comments ??????

jacia{GS}~~~ ~listens to Master Rollo and smiles as she thinks and ponders aimlessly~

a slave wants to be pleasing b/c of her undying love and devotion to her Master..

a slave needs to be pleasing b/c she could to the exteme punishment lose her life

Gornt~~~ I think We should here from the slaves first

MidKnight~~~ slave.... wanting....contradicting words right?

SabreWolf~~~ nothing upsets me more than a slave to tell me what she wants,or maybe better put,,what she don't want,"i don't want a Master",,or i don't want a tavern kolar",,is 2 examples,,she is slave,,I give her what I feel she needs,,

arianna{HK}~~~ ohhh excellent answer jaci!!!! *grins*

jacia{GS}~~~ ~smiles dreamily as she listens to the wisdom of Master Sabrewolf's words*

Gornt~~~ but as property isn't a happy slave a more productive slave

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *Looking down to the girl as she speaks, He smiles as He agrees with her words.*

jacia{GS}~~~ ;-) thank you ari :)

shifra{MKn}~~~ only thing shif wants is to be pleasing to the Masters...*cuddling to Him and caressing His strong thigh*

jacia{GS}~~~ *blushes softly and smiles in thanks to Master :)*

arianna{HK}~~~ this slave needs and wants are the same.....she needs and wants to keep her Master happy.

Gornt~~~ now that We have heard the PC response, ~chuckling~ how do they really feel?

calia{GS}~~~ smile painting across calias lips as she gazes at jaci ..~* agreeing most completely.... slaves undieing passion of want to be found pleasing...~* one works hard for her Master ~* in dire need to please Him for her lives sake...

jacia{GS}~~~ *grins softly and nods her head rapidly at calia...shimmering greens twinkling with merriment* exactly sis :)

SabreWolf~~~ yall say that,,but I ask,,what if you were placed in a chain of 5 slaves and were ignored to some degree?....or used only for work not pleasure?

SabreWolf~~~ true Gront,,laughs,,true

talender~~~ ~glances at Master SabreWolf's boots hearing His words~

arianna{HK}~~~ well ari was in a chain of 3 sisters Master SabreWolf, and she did not like it and begged release - however if Master didn't want for ari to go she would have never been released.

jacia{GS}~~~ *hears Master Sabrewolf and thinks before speaking*

Master, jaci would be just as content ... and then reason she says this is b/c being a slave is so much more than for "pleasuring" a Master...it is being pleasing to Him in all aspects......whether it be in the fields tending His crops or Animals...doing His laundry...cleaning His house....a slave can easily find great joy in knowing that what she is doing she is doing for her Master and that in itself can make a girl more than what she is :)

calia{GS}~~~ calia ached to be in chain ~* therefore more slaves to please Master.... should one find herself feeling unattened ,she must work harder..~*

believing this is exactly when some look within and wonder of their slavery...~* but should a girl keep working and learning new ways to express the slavery that burns in her heart...in her belly ~* One might notice her , or not.. whichever....tiz life of slave....

jacia{GS}~~~ ~smiles@ calia agreeing :)

tiger{GS}~~~ *she nods softly at jaci's words*

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *Smiling as He hears jaci speak again.* Well not all girls feel that way...there was a slave who was insolent, and said that v/t chores were "a meaningless use of her imagination*

jacia{GS}~~~ ~:)ing at tiger warmly~

jacia{GS}~~~ ~hears Master Durst and smiles up to Him~

there is no such thing Master to this slave as a "meaningless use of imagination" being a writer in RT jaci finds that ANY and every opportunity a girl has to perfect her skills then they should be seized.....use of the imagination is never a waste b/c like with all things the girl feels...with practice they can only get better :)

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *Looking down to jaci, His fingers running through her hair.* I am glad to hear that is the way you see it.*VBS*

jacia{GS}~~~ ~blushes softly nuzzling into His gentle touch purrrring softly to Him~ thank You Master :)

Honor in challenges of different Castes

SabreWolf~~~ caste,,should One not of the Warriors attempt to spar?

talender~~~ ~listens quietly for a topic~

shifra{MKn}~~~ in several of the books shif has read, not only warriors took up arms, in fact All males were armed, therefore They know how to properly use a weapon and should be permitted to spar if they choose to do so...but then this is just shif's opinion

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ I actually want to learn to spar...Protection, and just for the sake of putting more excitement into the tavern.*

Shadowglade~~~ I think it was stated a few times in the books Sabre that those of other Castes had other ways of defending themselves....In "Explorers" Shaba of the Caste of Scribes had a poison ring, in "Nomads" The Lead Merchant in Turia had gold teeth, POSSIBLY filled with poison...so I don't know that fighting per se should be done, but then online how else would members of different castes meet on a fair playing feild?

arianna{HK}~~~ that is a good question Master SabreWolf.....why should They not attempt to spar just because they are not of the Scarlet Caste? Sparing is not only good for learning self protection which Free Man should but also good in keeping ones body toned and seems like Many enjoy sparing.....just a girl's thoughts...besides gives You Warriors an easy ass to whip, one that of course does not belong to a slave *grinning impishly*

jasma{GS~FG}~~~ ~listening~

a girl's opinion.. is that although one not of the Warrior's caste may not be *trained* to use weapons.. that it don't mean that they necessarily wouldn't be able to give it a go.. Most of other castes still would know how to defend their home.. she feels..

Rollo the Ax~~~ I see nothing wrong with ANY Free Man training or practicing with weapons.... and sparring is such... a peasent could crush a skull with a hoe handle just as easy as a warrior could with a spear handle... and ANY free man is allowed to defend His homestone and family....

galah{RA}~~~ when One of a caste other than warrior pledges to GS, is He not also agreeing to defend and protect GS? seems He would also need to learn to fight to do this?

arianna{HK}~~~ oh good point galah! *smiles*

Asellus~~~ The issue of "sparring" is really a matter of what weapons are used...and the extent of the imagination of the One sparring.

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding at the Senior Captain's words~ There are several examples in the books of FM other than Warriors carrying weapons and even using them on occasion.

galah{RA}~~~ seems to this one that if Ones homestone/city was being attacked, One would feel inclined to help fight off the attackers....Gorean Men think to strongly about their homes to just sit there and let Someone else do all their fighting for Them?

Rollo the Ax~~~ LOL.. okay, lets try and get things clear..first, the sparring ..... Nobody disagrees that ANY man, no matter what caste, could choose to * spar * on occasion, or train with a weapon.....correct ????

Seafire~~~ Rollo I agree to that*S*

Lemuel~~~ ~smiling and nodding~ Aye Captain, I agree.

Sentinel~~~ I leave the building to the builders. I would not have a scribe repair my ship. I say sparring is for wariors.

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ Aye Rollo...Means I will have to start practicing a lil' more...Sparring competition at the Festival of the Procession to the sea, might be competitive this year.

SabreWolf~~~ Bother,,I should have said more than spar,, what of accepting or issueing a challenge,,for honor or even death from a personal stand point,,should a Builder for example if offended,,issue a challange?,,or how should they handle it? I only know what a Warrior would do,,kick their ass,,laugh

Sentinel~~~ Is that not what the guild halls are for? To settle disputes among the lesser castes?

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding at Sabre Wolf's words~ He could challenge, but it might be foolish to do so if the One that offended Him was a Warrior.

SabreWolf~~~ what if it's between 2 different caste?

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ Well...I remember a mention, of a Warrior not challenging one out of His Caste, but what if say, A builder challenge a Warrior, guess He pretty much digs His own grave...LOL

Phen~~~ What about caste respect too...

SabreWolf~~~ Lem,,then I ask,,if Someone offended You?,for example,,called You slave,,or vulo ass or something?,how would You,,as a builder,,handle this?..

Sentinel~~~ What weapon would a builder use? A club I suppose. *chuckles*

tiger{GS}~~~ *she tries not to giggle at Master SabreWolf's words to Master Lemuel*

SabreWolf~~~ and is it dishonorable for a Warrior to challange Someone not of his caste?

Seafire~~~ Sentinel a Hammer works as a good weapon*S*

though I am not a builder anymore

Lemuel~~~ ~shrugs~ Depends, if it was One that could obviously pound me into mush, I might grumble quietly. If it were One I felt I had a reasonable chance of besting I might punch Him in the mouth.

arianna{HK}~~~ not in ari's opinion if a Warrior's honour has been questioned, He has the right to fight for His honour.

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ I carry a kaiila lance, a quiva, and a few other concealed surprises for such an occasion Sentinel..

Rollo the Ax~~~ Okay, now I understand .... ANY man will do His BEST to defend his home, etc. .... But for a baker to try and fight a warrior...?? unless they fight with dinner rolls, the outcome seems perordained to Me.... stick with what you know.. I would let a brain surgeon FIX heads, and I'll just keep busting them.... LOL.. and not try telling the surgeon HOW to do it ..... catch My drift .????

Shadowglade~~~ *chuckling at Sentinel's words* Or as was stated when this issue came up last time, perhaps a Builder would build a contraption to drop a stone block on the offender...*chuckle*

jacia{GS}~~~ giggles Master Shadowglade

Lemuel~~~ ~LOL at Shadowglade's words~

tiger{GS}~~~ *soft giggles eminate from her lips at Master Shadowglade's words*

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *LOL* Don't give Me any ideas Shadowglade..

Sentinel~~~ I like the axe. It's a good honest weapon. It isn't elegant, it's a brutal visceral weapon.

Lemuel~~~ ~still smiling from Shadowglade's comment~ If a Warrior challenges say a baker, then wouldn't the Warrior have to let the baker choose the weapons?

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *Looking up to the ceiling, thinking He could actually do that..* *L*

shifra{MKn}~~~ rolling pins at 10 paces?

Sentinel~~~ As a warrior I wouldn't challenge a baker. If one were so foolish as to offend me I would simply kill him and have done with it.

calia{GS}~~~ *~calia shivers as she gazes at Master Sentinels ax ~* slave listens intently to conversation...

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ Well it might make sense for a builder to know how to use an axe...not the Big Ass Axe Rollo Carries around, but how else would we get wood...

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding at Sentinel's words~ Aye, Any that would insult a Warrior is either daft or has a death wish. ~G~

arianna{HK}~~~ *giggles loudly* rolling pins at 10 paces!!! oohh too much

Ha~Keel~~~ Sabre...Your post concerning whether it is dishonourable for a Warrior to challenge One of another Caste has Me thinking....

not sure that challenge would be honourable

Lemuel~~~ ~grinning at My Cast Bro~ Woodcutters Caste..

Rollo the Ax~~~ Sabre, to * My * way of thinking, for a warrior to challenge a non-warrior, is somewhat like the * bully * in the school yard.... and so NOT proper.... BUT !!! the other person should also have the good sense to KNOW that in such a fight, the odds say he is shit out of luck.... The man that brings a knife to a gun fight either backs down, or ends up dead...same sort of thing here... if out classed or out matched, either die, or use discretion and withdraw......

Phen~~~ OK all this said what of Caste Respect? A builder is of a Higher Caste than that of a Warrior...

Kayla~~~ The Question still remains, how to Men of unequal caste settle their differences, especially when "honor" comes into play?

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *Thinking I have to get Me one those woodcutters then.*

SabreWolf~~~ I'm just discusing it Friend,,grins at HaKeel,,I'm not easily offended,,but some are,,and for different reasons,,and was just curious as to how such should be handled if it ever occured

Asellus~~~ Good point, Phen. *nods*

Asellus~~~ And....the point about Warrior's always coming out on top, to Me it sounds like a Warrior can never be wrong. Correct?

Seafire~~~ Kayla

the best that they can. When Honor is at stake then the adrenaline grows more. More determination*nods*

SabreWolf~~~ thanks for wording it properly Homie,,grins,,that's what I was trying to ask

jasma{GS~FG}~~~ ~listening to all's thoughts on this.. looking up to Master Lemuel.. then lowering eyes in respect~..

Lemuel~~~ ~S~ Oh, Warriors can be wrong Asellus, but who would tell them? ~G~

Kayla~~~ ~nodding and smiling at the Captain~

Asellus~~~ And so then only a Warrior can spar with another Warrior? One would still indefinitely fall. Warriors are not gods. I am sure they fall like the rest of Us humans.

Mandi~~~ ~~veils shake chuckling in agreement with Lemuel~~

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ I might offer a different opinion, but don't We always Lemuel..*L* But never tell a Warrior He is full of crap..

Shadowglade~~~ *LOL* Asellus, that is a vicious rumor...who told You that???? *LOL*

Phen~~~ Asellus thats when You call in an Assasin*Laughs*

Rollo the Ax~~~ Phen... Higher caste, high caste or low caste....I think it doesn't really matter when it comes down to a fight.... sure, maybe the high caste guy would be rich enough to hire fighters, but HERE, on-line, matters of honor need to be handled in a different way....

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ Well I am sure that there was an occassion where a Warrior was defeated by Someone outside His Caste, although it was rare...Am I correct about this?

Sentinel~~~ I am frequently wrong. Dad always said pick something your good at and stick with it.

Kayla~~~ ~sitting back patiently waiting for an answer~

Ha~Keel~~~ Rollo...I agree

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding to My Caste Bro~ Well they do say that if you ask two Builder's their opinion you will get four answers ~G~

Asellus~~~ *Chuckles* Why is it that so many Men choose the Warrior's caste online? Is a ratio ever mentioned in the books? *scratching Her head*

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ I thought it would be more like 6-10 answers Lemuel, but thats just My opinion...*LOL*

Sentinel~~~ Would not the Council of Captains be charged with meting out justice?

SabreWolf~~~ I was wrong once,,grins,,but I though I was wrong,,then I was right about being wrong,,laugh

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding in agreement with C.D.~ I think that sometimes a Warrior is beaten by one not a Warrior because the Warrior does not consider the Other a threat. In the books many Warriors did not have any respect for the Peasant bow until They saw its power.

breena{MKS}~~~ she shifts in her kneel, listening quietly to the coversation in the Tavern

jacia{GS}~~~ *thinking Master Sabrewolf was wrong once, but He was mistaken***grin*

SabreWolf~~~ I should think the Council is here to set rules,,judge honorable roleplay and such,,not babysit,,

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *LMAO@Sabre* True Sabre, very True..*shaking head* Aye, Lemuel I thought so...just wasn't sure..

Asellus~~~ *Cannot help but laugh at Sabre* Totally understand now, Sabre! Thanks! *LOL*

The peasant bow! yes! *remembering it mentioned in Raiders of Gor, smiling appreciatively at Lemuel*

arianna{HK}~~~ ~listens to everyone, fingers slowly gliding back and forth through the plush furs~

calia{GS}~~~ thinking ....the one time ,perhaps Master Sabre thought He was wrong...He was wrong...~* ....giggling softly..

Rollo the Ax~~~ Asellus... sparring is NOT an out and out fight... it is practic, or training, or just screwing around killing time... and as such, I could see a warrior * teaching * one of a different caste a few fine points or moves.... but nobody dies, so it is all okay.... hell, someday the warrior may want the builder to teach Him to build a wall or such.......

Shadowglade~~~ in truth Asellus, Many men decide that it's romantic to be a Warrior, and Many think that Warriors are at the top of the food chain, which let's face it isn't true...*chuckle* sure a skilled Warrior can kill anyone who get's in His face, but that doesn't help Him when He's dead broke, and living on the streets of Port Kar....

But that's not even the topic at hand, the question is how should inter caste disputes be handled...for My part, should anyone, and I do mean ANYONE call into question My honor, or My home, it won't matter to Me what caste they are a part of, nor do I think that they should be given quarter in matters of a challenge. If I am offended, and challenge, and the challenged doesn't answer the challenge, then all that's left for Me to do would be to kill the offender outright as I would a slave....

talender~~~ ~listening quietly and learning~

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ Or perhaps a mast Sabre...*wink*

Asellus~~~ Well, then We need to be specific as to what aspect of sparring We are speaking of, Rollo. Are We discussing sparring as a dual of honor? Or are We discussing sparring as a grounds for training? Rarely in the tavern is sparring ever more than training....

Lemuel~~~ ~smiling at Captain Rollo's comment~

Mandi~~~ ~~listening intently to Shadowglade~~

Gornt~~~ Or to sail a ship

Asellus~~~ I appreciate the honest answer, Shadowglade. *Smiling with respect for His words*

calia{GS}~~~ *~ a shift in Master Gornts arms leaning closer into His bicep as slave inhales the words of Master Shadowglade...~* learning and growing in knowledge ,one smile....

SabreWolf~~~ I agree SG,,inter caste disputes happen here often and protacall should be set in such matters,,how should they be handled?

Gornt~~~ or there might be any farmers, builders, scribes or sailors

Rollo the Ax~~~ Asellus...in the books it IS ..... In truth, ANY society could not survive with so * top heavy * a warrior caste or group.... for every warrior there would need to be MANY bakers and farmers, and wood cutters and so on.... but THIS is VT and role play.... for many men, it is the getting to be the * big tough, warrior * and not just a farmer .......

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ So...A Warrior shouldn't challnege out of His Caste, unless He is truly offended, and the other person is really dumb. And if someone of another Caste has a death wish can challenge a Warrior.

Mandi~~~ What choices are available within the context of Gor for settling disputes, SabreWolf?

Shadowglade~~~ Again, I think there was a misunderstanding, what I think SabreWolf was asking was, in matters where a death match may come up, how would or should that be handled in cases of inter-caste disputes.....So, we're not talking about sparring, we're talking about dueling....

Gornt~~~ sounds about right CD

Asellus~~~ *Nodding at Rollo's words and smiles lightly* I've noticed that about VT.

Lemuel~~~ ~thinking~ In the books it mentions that some disputes were settled over a game of Kaissa.

SabreWolf~~~ Mandi,,as a Warrior,,I only know one way,,grin,,but am open to suggestions,,from the books ofcourse,,

Asellus~~~ A game of Kaissa?? *eyes sparkle at the thought* Wow!!

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ I was going to be a Warrior at first, true Rollo, who doesn't want to be the tough guy that everyone fears and respects at the same time. However, I thought a lil' diversity was needed in the tavern, and it worked out well, I enjoy being a builder, and I make more money than I will be able to spend..

Rollo the Ax~~~ ~~making a mental note of Sabre's remark~~

Mandi~~~ Well put, Shadowglade....

SabreWolf~~~ excellent suggestion Lem,,grins

Kaissa

Lemuel~~~ ~thinking some more~ Not sure, but gambling might have been used to settle disputes too.

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ A wager Sabre? *Thinking of the good old days*

jacia{GS}~~~ *blushing and thinking wager?? ohh hell lol*

Phen~~~ Ohh the Tarn Races??? Or the Fighting slaves???

Shadowglade~~~ *LOL* Hey, I came into GS two years ago as an Assasin...*chuckle* but quickly learned it didn't fit My personality..for Me, Warrior was a better choice, and honestly, I know little about farming..*chuckle* but would like to believe that I know some about honor...and live by My own code RT...

SabreWolf~~~ well,,for those afraid of gettin their ass kicked,,laughs,,but if My honor is at stake,,grins,,touching the hilt of his sword,,I don't play kaissa.

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *Looking up to the roof, thinking about Canjellne, and the tarn races.*

Lemuel~~~ ~hearing Phen mention fighting slaves~ Hmm...could One not of the Warriors choose a proxy if challenged?

Asellus~~~ I don't know how open the tavern would be to those ideas, and of course, for a tarn race wouldn't those involved need a tarn? But it sure would offer some versatility to the usual way of handling disputes amongst the Free.

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *looking down to jaci, playing with her hair.* At least I didn't say meat toss...

jacia{GS}~~~ *smiles warmly with deep affection over to Master Sabre as she hears His words....also smiling up to Master Durst as He looks to His Tarn*

calia{GS}~~~ *~nervously calias eyes roam about lowered ,biting into her lip..~* mouthing......f-i-g-h-t-i-n-g s-l-a-v-e-s ....

kanda{GS}~~~ *slipping quietly back into the tavern...sitting back..listening..*

Shadowglade~~~ *nodding to the Captain* I think Kaissa, as it is a game that I know I have a hard time understanding, and many won't wish to even bother learning, is not the best of ideas....I would think though that as it was in the book "Explorers of Gor" There was a praetor who was basically a judge for disputes...at least in Port Kar, correct? Why not put someone in charge of such things?

Lemuel~~~ ~grins hearing C.D. mention *meat toss*~ Now there's an idea...

jacia{GS}~~~ *giggles tossing her firey tresses around His fingers and giggling* ohhhh noooooooo Masterrrrrrr lol

jasma{GS~FG}~~~ ~listening to Master Lemuel~..

like Scormus of Ar play Kaissa, against Hup the fool, instead of Cernus and Tarl Cabot playing?

SabreWolf~~~ Lem,,Warriors are usually gonna stick together,,unles one's of the black caste,,they fight for gold,,I wouldn't

Ha~Keel~~~ *patting His lap*

ari...watch and listen from here....*smiles*

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding at Shadowglade's comment~ I recall that too, now that you mention it.

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding~ But Captain Sabre Wolf, One might hire a mercenary.

SabreWolf~~~ if they could find one Lem,,I suspose,,

Rollo the Ax~~~ The fact is, that as has been pointed out, there are MANY ways of settling disputes other than swords ...... and also semantics often come into play...spar, dual, practice.. they all are open for debate.....

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ Well kinda going to another subject, but what is Our standpoint on assassins in GS..Do We Honour their kills?

Lemuel~~~ ~S~ Also, it is standard practice for the One being challenged to have the right to choose the weapons, is it not?

Ha~Keel~~~ *peering over ari's shoulder*

Sabre...the Black Caste has a definate way of settling disputes....find a dispute...put Yourself in a position to be hired...and knock off the chosen disputer

earn the dough...

Kayla~~~ Great question ~fingering My pouch, and grinning~

kanda{GS}~~~ *listening intently*

arianna{HK}~~~ *thinking it has to be a three post kill by an Assassin but can't quite remember the rules*

Shadowglade~~~ Actually CD, Assassins have to follow the battle rules that Warrior's follow except that they always get the first attack....

SabreWolf~~~ death kaissa!!!laughs,,I like that

Seafire~~~ Rollo

*nods* I have settled Many disputes here in the tavern without My sword or Axe...A call for help was given and I arrived to help

jasma{GS~FG}~~~ from the GS homepage:

If the battle is to the death, the victor will then be granted permission to slay his opponent by the judges. Assassins who leap into the room, thrust knives into their prey and immediately leave will simply be laughed out of the tavern. Their "kill" will not be recognized. If an Assassin wishes to kill someone in Gorean Shores, they must abide by the Battle Rules.

----

The challenged party, if he desires, has the right to choose the weapon(s) which may be used in the battle.

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ Okay..I have only seen one Assassin enter the tavern before..and all He did was run His mouth..But it's good to know just in case one comes in.

Mandi~~~ ~~recalling a couple of those incidents and agreeing with Seafire~~

Lemuel~~~ ~giving the first girl a hug for posting the tavern rules~

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ *Smiling to jas.* thanks lil' one..

jacia{GS}~~~ ~smiles~

jasma{GS~FG}~~~ ~smiling softly.. arms encircle around the gorgeous One for an ehn.. before returning to the notes~

jasma{GS~FG}~~~ You're welcome Master, Durst.. ~s~

Mandi~~~ ~~always counts on jaz for a good quote~~

jasma{GS~FG}~~~ ~blushing from Mistress Mandi's words~

arianna{HK}~~~ ~leans back against her Master's chest as she hears jaz's words~

Rollo the Ax~~~ LOL..Well, have we cleared up any questions about different castes * fighting * with each other ??? and non-warriors using or practicing with swords and such ???? Any still glaring questions left un-answered ?????

Phen~~~ *Looking innocently over to the Senior Captain* I guess in saying Non Warriors You are refering just to the Male Population?....

Shadowglade~~~ Actually, Nay Rollo, I don't feel as though it were cleared up really...*chuckle* Im still confused what the popular idea is on handling inter caste disputes....though I know what My actions will be...*chuckle* those of My caste, as Sabre said....

jacia{GS}~~~ ~slips off for a bit wishing all well and thanking All for a great Forum! *S*

Mandi~~~ A good question, Phen. ~~shudders at the thought~~

SabreWolf~~~ I like Lem suggestin of kaissa,,F/W could settle disputes between them selves ,,slaves as well,,and intercaste disputes, grins,,it's a great way for non Warriors to settle things,,other than the pit,,

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ Well I guess the situation would just depend on the Caste, and How pissed the 2 parites involved where..I guess if 2 builders want to fight, then they will, if the wanna settle it over kaissa, then that is the way they would handle it...

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding agreement to Sabre Wolf~ I would reserve My right to a challenge at arms though.

Kayla~~~ What if the Fw beef is with a Man *S*....

SabreWolf~~~ ofcourse Lem,,laughs,,the Challanged choosed the weapon,,be it a sword or red and yellow squares,,laughs,,they'd have to agree on what happens to the looser though,,I suspose,,

Mandi~~~ Kayla, it's a Man's world and She should pick Her battles or get very good at Kaissa or defer.

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding~ Maybe standing on Their head for a few Ehn or something, eh?

Ceredigawn Durst~~~ Aye Lemuel, that would be an interesting sight when entering the tavern.*LOL*

Rollo the Ax~~~ LOL..Okay.. then lets carry over this idea about settling disputes between different castes....LOL.. and Phen, YES.... I meant for MEN to use weapons, NOT FW..... LOL..

Mandi~~~ ~~was that a *w* behind the veils toward Phen?~~
