Rollo the Ax~~~ Okay, the first the off the mark is a question about the proper way for slaves to speak or ask to speak if they are with a Free..... ** is there a standard on if a girl is kneeling at One's feet.. in conversation only.. that she's not to ask permission to greet others? that should be begging to greet not speak ???????

it may not be something that's trained to the girls, but ever since this one has been part of GS, it's something she has always seen.. as long as a girl's not serving a Free.. in the literal sense of dance, food, drink.. or of course, a sexual service.. but just when kneeling at One's feet.. in conversation.. and One enters.. a girl has always asked permission to greet..

it can become confusing with reeling off greetings as each and every person arrives to a busy room, and in most cases, a slave was meant to serve and stay busy, to be beautiful and pleasing, so would it not stand that she should leave the greetings to the Free unless she was called on?
or if it is a quiet room then she would greet and offer to serve as the Free entered..
Rollo the Ax~~~ The excepted standard or way I believe it should be at least is that * if a slave is kneeling at the feet of a Free Person, it is at least a prima facia case of * be in the service of THAT Free at THAT given time * so to be technical, yes, a slave should beg permission to speak to others or greet.... BUT it is always a judgement call on the point of the Free.... some require it, and some don't.... so unless there is some sort or other problem between the two, it really should NOT become some BIG DEAL....* in My opinion...*

Phen~~~ Oh I was waiting on this one*L*...I only have a problem with the timing so to speak if you are having a conversation with the girl and are writing an answer to her and she begs to greet before it is posted looks messy and may also look as you are not giving her permission can also be taken that she is reminding the free that she is at there feet...

che was always taught that when serving, her attention is not to be diverted from the One she is serving for, be it a drink, food , dance..it does not matter, is she is sitting quietly at His feet, then she may ask or wait for permission to greet those that arrive.
arianna{HK}~~~ ari has found it to be much of the same in most sites except in GC where girls call out their greetings when they are serving......ari does not like that. one is meant to be giving her FULL attention to the one she is serving therefore only concentrate only on pleasing Him/Her not worrying about who is entering
Kyoto~~~ That is why I usually try to pick the moment to allow her to greet... such as saying, cheela, greet and then get me a kalda... something along those lines.
Kayla~~~ Phen I would finish My post and then follow with letting the slave greet... *S* just a matter of timing as You say... or could say Greet and then as the slave was posting do My post to finish My thoughts... works both ways

aye, but also.. if One comes in and there is only One other and a slave.. and the Free greets the girl and she don't greet back.. it may as well as be looked upon by the One that has entered.. that the girl is not being respectful..

Rollo the Ax~~~ As with so many things....in RT or VT, there are always tiny * points * that may differ between every different case.... and there is always the point that the two individuals are not * reading off the same page *, so to speak....LOL.. were they just talking ?? were they close together or just talking across the room ??

Phen~~~ Kayla I don't see a reason for offense here My thoughts are that since there is more Advisors now some may wish to discuss things with the Captains directly. I am also thinking if the Piazza is opened and the things that have been discussed concerning that it is a good idea...

The Captains will not give up control of the Piazza to the Advisors just let them handle the day to day working but always keeping a hand in ~smiling at Rollo~... If One wants to speak directly to a Captain then I say go for it but if addressed By the Council then the Advisors get to express their opinions.. that is the way the Council is set up and to want to change it feels personal *S*... But as I said I am a good Pledge and will do as My Captains wish...
