luscious has noticed alot of roleplay on the boards, such as Master Symbian looking for sluts to go with Him on his journey for the Bosk... needing help butchering and getting the bosks ready for the festival... maybe there could be a gathering of slaves or Free as far as that goes, to learn how to do the chores He needs done, and then there may be more willing to join in on His journey ... just an idea..

there is no rule here saying a slave MUST use a Free's name...and there is no rule saying a slave CANNOT
if my Master wishes me to rp a slave who does not say the first name of a Free and i agree within my rp terms.....then it should be allowed.....i should not be chastized publically for it

In the books at one point Port Kar was ruled by a group of competing Ubars but it also had a Council of Captains who took control of the city away from the Ubars.

simply put, Port Kar was the only city on Gor that was run by a Council.. first, there was 5 different men ALL claiming to be * Ubar * of PK...but none of them had the power to really take control... the day to day affairs were handled by a Council of all the captains that owned so many ships.... then, after a big fight, and some sneaky stuff, all 5 of them got killed, and the Council of Captains took full control....

I don't think what name is kitchen or servery causes a person to leave GS.. Stuff the causes people to leave is how rudely David was treated here last week because he is new and doesn't know everything yet. People leave because some assholes thinks it is OK to harass them for their RT phone number or make a major issue out of there name lingering in a room after they leave, which is just a chat room SNAFU.

the only time not using a Masters name would be difficult is here at forum, but how many times do we have that many ppl RP in the rooms? there are only a few, and can easily get past the name issue in those numbers

Hey, once again, in MY opinion, there comes a time when a line needs to be drawn... laws are needed to keep any society alive.... but when so many laws are made... for whatever reasons.... it becomes a case of ** is there a law for a reason, or any reason for the law ?? * We could make so many rules that it could get to the point that if you used your right hand instead of your left to wipe your butt, you could go to jail .... so I say again...... are they rules because they deserve to be so, or are they simply rules BECAUSE we make them so ?????

RT telephone numbers... or ANY RT info... have ALWAYS been OFF LIMITS !!!!! NO person !!!! Master, Free, or Indian chief has ANY right to demand or harass ANYBODY for RT info.... if a slave wants to do so it is HER decision.... but as long as ROLLO has any say in the matter, if hassled for such RT info, ANY slave has the right to tell the Master or free person to go piss up a rope.... end of story, no more said or done....

don't think its ever gonna get to that point regardless Master Ulrich, everyones life is to involved in rt to be here all the time, gal would be happy if half the ppl showed up for just an ahn a day, like in the evening....then there would always be someone here and not sitting empty or someone sitting all by their lonsome....just needing alil more freedom to express oneself, that is all galah ask for....she has seen the serves change and change and change again over the years...now its down to certain words....did away with sweetening drinks with slave nectar, that was not to the books, granted, then doing away with checking the rims, okay...that makes sense cause the tavern would not keep marred vessels....but now down to this word for that item etc....leaves no room left for imagination Master

Just understand, when the decision was made, it was after a discussion and points made with as much passion as you are showing right now.
There are 2 sides to every story. As Rollo so astutely stated, we can't please all of the people all of the time.
We do what we can to make GS conducive to fun in a Gorean setting. Some will like some aspects but not others, others will have the opposite feelings about the same decisions/rules/constraints.
