Many enter to see what GS and Gor is about... so they should IMO be given some lenience and given as much help and warmth by those entering

There is a line to walk though between the honey and the hard nose.
Gor is a harsh world, and people tend to forget that and let their feelings get hurt.
They need to understand there are rules and protocols to abide by. We can forgive them as they first arrive, but once they've had time to review the information they've been given, of course, you start enforcing those rules more stringently.

As far as being a hard nose goes, it is important that girls get feedback as they progress and grow.
The expectations grow higher over time.
Of course they need to be made aware of their mistakes, but that doesn't mean that every action has to be picked apart looking for only the negatives.
Positive re-enforcement can be as productive a learning tool as pointing out their mistakes.
If only the negatives are pointed out, then I can see girls losing that drive and heart.

A Captain Emeritus can be pledged to GS or may not be if they have moved to another home, like Shadowglade did for example.
They have no more authority then any other FM in GS. They are allowed to sit on the dais. They also eat and drink for free in GS.

Well if we do it that weekend it is far enough ahead that we have plenty of time to plan things. The weekend after is a holiday weekend in the States and some people could go away the weekend before it being so close to New Years.
