It is the only city on Gor to be built by slaves. Port Kar is synonym with cruelty and piracy. ~L~ It is our home!

Gorean Shores is set in the period before the fleet battle between Cos, Tyros and our Home, so as yet, Bosk has not yet found the Home Stone.

But the GS of on-line still expects a degree of honor and * following the laws *..... On-line can NEVER always be the exact same as the books.....

And as already has been stated, Port Kar has the reputation of the finest dancing and furring kajirae ~LOL~ This is because of the discipline imposed by some of the strictest masters upon gor.

Surbus was in with his crew and they were running amok...We all know that the fight that ensued between Bosk and Surbus cost Surbus his life and gained Bosk a seat on the Council of Captains...Yet here in GS we also have FW allowed to enter and we have to interact with RT.

ADVISOR.... one that gives council or advice.... a level head, and quick wit.... I for one will ALWAYS accept GOOD advice or knowledge from ANY other person.... be they Male, Female, Free or slave..... because in the end, it how * I * ( or the Council ) use such input...

Ruilan's tart~~~ Master Sarakai (and yes, mm knows she's not a member here) but mm looks in on GS everyday (as she has friends here) and as it may be looking toward it's 4th anniversary, You must admit, it is mostly empty at times...perhaps something does need to change a bit (just an idea).

I think as a general rule, we are happy here... but the grass is always greener, so we like to talk about other possibilities... it's in a forum like this that possibilities can be explored... and if we, as a body, like an idea, we present it to the council for a vote.... then it's up to you guys.

But if we could manage to have a regular tournament of swords between sites then that might satisfy our blood lust ~L~

GS allows FW to come in and take part.... they enjoy a certain level of freedom and/or protection while in GS.... as long as they behave within certain limits.... these limits have been set by the COUNCIL.... Not each Tom, Dick, and Harry that THINKS He knows what is right or wrong..... If a man has trouble with a FW, and thinks that she is over-stepping her bounds, he can either tactfully remind her of her palce, or he can contact the council.... BUT they had better be good reason to try and collar a FW in good standing in GS, or the Council will step in..... but this also does NOT give FW the right to try and * take over *.... so they still walk a thin line .... one step to either side, and they may well find steel around their pretty little necks.....
