Captain Rollo.......I will admit to You that I "blanket" greet when I enter a room with more than just a few Ppeople inside. There have been so many times when I've greeted Ffolks that are still on the list but are not around that I embarrassed Myself. I blanket greet.....and then wait for responses.....and then greet individually.

it was discussed quite awhile back, that even the Masters did not wish to be greeted until they make an entrance, for some come on tarns and are not even in the tavern yet when everyone says greetings to them....so seems that the person, free or slave, is not in the room until they speak first?

Slaves are expected to greet all Free Persons after entering Gorean Shores, unless in the service of Someone, and as new Patrons enter. Do NOT greet a Free until they have posted an entrance or a greeting first. And remember, slaves should always thank the person who allowed you to enter when you greet them

YES.... there is a set of rules that says how, when, and in what order any slaves should greet... and there is also a set of protocols that list the * proper * order for greeting free persons..... the * proper * way is always the better choice if you are worried about details..... what can I say ??? to this old dog if I say Hi, I say Hi...and if y'all say so to me, then thanks... but unless it is meant as an OBVIOUS insult to either omit or ignore somebody when greeting, I sure as hell am NOT going to bite somebody’s head off if they screw up a little... if the tables were turned, I would be dead a thousand times over
