Lemuel~~~ ~S~ I think either one of the new boards would give us the control we are looking for. If I had to choose one I guess I would pick the free aimoo board that jasma set up because the look of it *feels* more like the tavern and it has more features than the free ikonboard. Both seem a little slow to Me and I would prefer the messages to be threaded as they are on our Poolside sub, but that's just me. ~S~

Kayla~~~ The newer baord looks like GS with the same background as the Tavern topaz... check it out maybe you will feel different... I also suggest posting even if only a test to see the features of each baord and the formating

Lemuel~~~ To Me...a "slut" is a person that enjoys sex, craves it. They may have "prefered" partners, but will take it when and where they can get it. so, I would say that on Gor, all sluts are slaves (or soon become slaves), but not all slaves are sluts (though they should be ~G~).
Paedur~~~ You must remember that in this society and the BDSM society, slut can be a good term, but in "Vanilla" society it is not.

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding to E.K.~ All kidding aside, I do believe the difinition I gave is appropriate for Gor. A FW that craves sex will likely seek out a collar to satisfy her need. A slave may not be a slut but will be happier if she is since she won't have a choice of who uses her.

Errand Knight~~~ in response to the topic Kayla has listed I think we often think too much about gor and not enough about our homestone ...clearly there are some fundamental philosophys beyond the three pillars which are common to all of gor ..but it is very clear that Normans world was one of difference on gor ..where ones principle allegence was to ones home (whether homestone or not) and that there are substantial differences between cites and what is expected say on Ar or Port Kar..let alone the non city dwellers, nomads ,and other races on gor

Kayla~~~ One would think there were some common standards amoung different sites but if so I have not found them in ALL... Some are closer to each other than others but each site is different depending on who runs the site and their own personal veiws on Gor
Errand Knight~~~ Paedur: there are too many differences to say..but as a simple example take what sets our home apart in Port Kar..we are gors main port and as a result are something of an unrefined place with many fugitives etc. our city is filthy (by gorean standards) and life is far cheaper and for the moment, we dont have a homestone (yet), we are ruled by a council where the ubars dont really have control, we are threatened by two traditional enemies, our food and drink have greater variety than is common (we are traders), our clothing differs in part from other parts of gor and of course our slaves are the best on all gor

I think that One needs to do a bit of research first.....and reading, of course.....before One wanders into any Gorean site. Better still is to listen to Tthose who have been there before.

I have not been challenged as yet..in fact the worst time Ive had is travelling thru the northern forests where the panther girls hide

I was reading the rules for the new site of Savage Wolf which states all strangers will would put to the stake if not known to a Member of the Home... and all FW with out escort would be either enslaved or ransomed and all kollared slaves if not with their owners would be killed, or captured
