There is no such thing as a gor like slavery in this country (and most others) as there would be no social reinforcement. If a girl were beaten for displeasure she could go to the police and they will not tell her to run home and thank her Master for disciplining her.

well, slaves in the books did not always get along. and as long as their disagreements did not rise to the level of becoming an annoyance to the Free, it was pretty well ignored and they were left to settle things among themselves.

i find it interesting that many girls use "sis" or "sister" i don't recall that in the books. There may be a sisterhood of slavery but many slaves in the same house were competitive to be favorites, they were not best friends or helpful in particular to one another.

personally...now this is gonna just throw everything in a tizzy, but i would like to see a slave enter, move to a Master or Mistress that seems not to be busy, and then greet that person and ask if they wish service, when they say no, then move to the next and do the same....this greeting a huge line of ppl seems to me to be totally inpersonal actually

~well amiras gonna throw her two cents worth in here and simply say~ that if we begin to loosen the rules how long before tis ok to sit in a private room and wait for a Master or Mistress that one likes to enter and then enter, or to greet only those a girl or anyone for that matter likes in particular. or shorten names to amira some of the beauty of being slave even online is the discipline it takes to BE a slave. somehow even a small change like that could lead to changes that are damaging. just a girls opinion

sometimes if a slave is on limited time, they have used up all their time just greeting everyone, then its time to leave heheheee as far as the serving, it only would take a short time to look around to see who is serving who, and you would have to go to one not being served first before doubling up, its not going to be all slaves converging on one Master

hmmm... just to play devil's advocate. in the books, i don't recall slaves greeting everyone every time they entered a room, or greeting each new Free that entered after they were in. slaves for the most part behaved unobtrusively so as not to interrupt the Free. i remember one scene in a Tavern where the slaves carried a large vessel of paga, and cups were on the tables, and the girl just moved from one place to the next filling the cups until her vessel wend empty and she had to go re-fill it. they didn't greet anybody

you ALL are making valid points and I, personally agree with some of them.... the thing to remember is that the Council has to TRY and make rules that will work ALL the time, for EVERYBODY.... serving ??? greeting ??? In a * perfect * world, there would be no problem... but due to the fact the old * Air Force Honor System * doesn't work all the time and all that well, rules and DETAILED lists of required actions have to be made and enforced it would seem......

Whispering to telaise, as a privatly owned slave, your duty is to be pleasing to your Master...not necessarily to keep up with who is pledged this week to GS and who is not, unless He wishes you to be. Perhpas if the greeting order were kept it should be for GS girls (again no offence meant) but segen did not submit to GS, she submitted to one Master (albe he had to hunt me down and catch me)..

there wsa, in one of the books, a sort of "slave parade" held. almost like a fashion show. they had a kind of runway set up, and the slaves came out, looking their best, and some of the girls danced and others did whatever they wished, to look good and catch attention. i have never seen that done on-line.
