SholGar~~~ Good questions Gornt...What if one is simply "checking out" the Tavern as a possible new home? should she be collared instantly or have some freedom to look around? seems to Me it could scare off good sluts.

GS is technically a Kill/Capture zone.... so in the strict sense of the word, ANY un-collared slave is fair game.......BUT !!!!! as has been pointed out, if EVERY slave that walks in is grabbed instantly and collared, soon none will come to visit, and also, in a general sense, the type of * Master * that will and does collar just EVERY slave, tends to not be the best kind of * Gorean *....

I think the *public* collaring should be forceful, but the Master (or Mistress) should PM the slave to see what they are looking for first and only collar if the person understands and agrees.
Kayla~~~ Any Pledged Patron can kolar a girl for the Tavern though the Council is best equiped for this knowing the best questions to be sure of a slaves mind on this.... posting an action to the boards and to the Council and nudging them toward the first girl for training.... is the best way...
SholGar~~~ I have been to other sites where a temporary collar is given to signify a visitor that is just checking out the place. this is not an ownership kolar...just a free pass so to speak.

I think that explaining that GS will give a girl time to make up her mind to visit and learn and are most helpful but that when a girl comes in for months say and says no force kolarings or under protection of so and so... a few have learned that the Slave Master plays no such games and will kolar them for the Tavern rather quickly... I think it is all in the attitude

Rollo the Ax~~~ Folks..... a Gorean collar is not a thing to be taken lightly, or to be just * thrown on * the neck of a girl that just walks in the door..... to do so belittles the whole idea, and also those that wear sch collars in the REAL sense .... If the new girl learns and still wants the collar, then FINE and DANDY... but to collar too soon or too quickly, often just makes the girl runaway, and then we ALL lose........

Kayla~~~ there is no set time Lemuel... the kolar is forever *S*... once in a GS kolar the girl would have to have approval from the Council to be sold to another.... which is well for many would jump quickly if not for the lag... We had a case not long ago where the girl changed her mind no less than 5 times wanting to be sold... seems that It really didn't matter where just wanted to be personally owned... the delay of the Council most likely saved the girl some heart ache and us another like the girl annie

Seems to Me that a slave should show her worth before getting a collar..forcing HNG's to work a little before getting to the alcoves or a kolar will dissuade them perhaps and make them move on to other sites.

SholGar~~~ A true slave will work to please and the more tests she passes the better. I propose that a HNG will grow frustrated and move on. This is desireable and will serve as a filter which will leave GS with quality kajira. A kolar is not needed to test or validate a slave. There are other ways to test her resolve and devotion.

If ANY Free person is in the tavern, and an un-collared slave enters.... just tell them that they are subject to capture, BUT while they are visiting and You are there, they are under YOUR protection.... THEN it is between Masters/Mistresses and NOT the slaves choice.... the girl is safe, so to speak, but NOT collared..... also, speak with the new girl and explain just how BIG a step it is top take a collar...tavern, OR private.....
