Roleplaying

Rollo the Ax~~~ So that all know up front.....we will try to limit the open part of the forum to an hour so that Bolt can have his time to speak about the Priest Kings....

Rollo the Ax~~~ So.... does anybody have a first topic ????

Rollo the Ax~~~ Okay, Sabre..You have a topic.... go ahead....

SabreWolf~~~ My suggestion was to discuss roleplay,,and how it should be done

Shadowglade~~~ What do You mean by role play Sabre? *looking to Him confusedly*

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ roleplay is such a difficult word, for many hear that and think it's a game, like dungeons and dragons etc...and although this is indeed roleplay, she thinks that most don't think of this as a game at all, so it does indeed set up a different version for roleplay

SabreWolf~~~ You walked in and sat at Your furs,,You order a paga,,this is roleplay,,as is a spar

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ although goreans roleplay, for in our rt lives, it's nothing like it is in our vt life, we take what we say and do seriously, and it's not a game to have a winner in the end, it's just to be the best gorean one can be

Shadowglade~~~ *nodding at the Slave Master* I see, I would say as long as it's all done in a realistic manner, within the precepts of Gor, that one would have a very wide berth as to how one acts, and reacts to, others online...

SabreWolf~~~ I would say it's roleplay to the next level as I choose to call it My Gorean life,,We all get to know each other,,become Friends,,those Friendships sometimes lasting for years,,but how We interact in the tavern is how the rest of Gor see's Us,,and I want it to be the best experience possible

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ even though much of the person beneath their chosen character is what is within the person doing the typing, it's not like other chat rooms, that a/s/l thing means NOTHING here, it's really no ones business what age one is, or what location they really live in RT, sometimes we share these things, but bottom line is, they don't belong in GS in the open

Rollo the Ax~~~ No matter how seriously we take are VT lives and actions here, on-line....they are after all, * role play, or not REAL * after all....the difference is in how much honesty or honor you place in your actions, deeds and words.......

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ this is the world, thanks to serums and such, that even an old and unhealthy Master, Mistress or slave, can still be the strong and young, vibrant character they wish to be on Gor

SabreWolf~~~ another good point F/G,,smiles,,We should strive to keep OOC(out of charter)post to a minimum,,or on nights like

tonight,,

Phen~~~ Sabre I too agree with You though PPL are different and what We may feel is the best Others may disagree with....We also cannot stop ppl coming in that are not of Our home and making idiots of themselves whoever they are....

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ isn't it great to live on a place with only few diseases? a place where ppl don't grow old for a very very long time

SabreWolf~~~ Phen,,about the best We can hope for is to guide them and teach them by example,,or put them on ignore,,

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ heheheheeee but we must all try to be patient with the Barbarians that come to GS heheheheheheheee we must always remember that once upon a time(sometimes too long ago to even remember) we was all new to Gor and probably made idiots of ourselves heheheheee

Shadowglade~~~ *looking from the first girl, to the Captain* I once had a RT conversation with an aquaintance who asked Me what online Gor was...I tried the roleplaying explanation, but when finished He gave Me an even better term..."Free Form roleplay". The rules change from site to site, but We create Our characters, our persona's who are as much or as different from Us RT as We wish them...*G* This is what I see online Gor as, I am not so different here, as I am RT...however, this being VT, I am able to be, and do things differently....*shrugs* It is nice to have the fantasy, but even better when one can become friends, and get to know another RT....if it weren't for GS, I would never have Met My RT wife....were it not for A/s/l *chuckle* We would likely have never found each other...*chuckling as I smile at Kayla*

Kayla~~~ ~smiling at My Love's words~

Phen~~~ *Nodding to the Captain's words*

zoya{MKS}~~~ well, as for zoya, when she's here, she's completely in her "role" and tries to portray that to all and enjoys to see the Master's "walk" in and what they wear and such, give more to the feel of the tavern, the time and place of gor....aaa, yes, isn't that wonderful galah, may we stay here forever?

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ this one came home one day, to find Many being very rude and mean to a new One, this was most distressing to galah....on the other hand, have had visiting slaves come and say how welcomed they have been made in GS, now why the two edged sword, why welcome new slaves and send the new Free packing?

Phen~~~ Oh First Girl I could not agree with you more on that I remember how Phen used to be *L*....And I for one will help a new person but it's the ones that know some of Gor I was more refering too....

SabreWolf~~~ again SG,,odds are that part was done over a period of time and in whisper,,not in the tavern for all,,nor was anyone forced to give up that info,,maybe We should give all the slaves Gorean birthdays and they could tell the hng's they live in Port Kar,,laughs

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ well zoya, forever is for only as long as our rt allows us to be, the serum don't work on earth unfortunately heheheheee hehehehehehee but it's most wonderful that while here, we can be all that RT don't allow us to be, does this make sense?

zoya{MKS}~~~ mmmm, love that idea Master Sabrewolf ~*~nods~*~

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ Slave Master, galah has actually told new Ones that when they ask where she lives heheheheheheheee and when they ask her age, she has been known to tell them she has no idea, as being a slave, she knows not how to count sooo high

zoya{MKS}~~~ aye galah, perfect sense and zoya is sooooo glad she has found GS and gor and has fought rt battles to stay here ~*~smiles~*~

Rollo the Ax~~~ Aye, Shadowglade..... it is my feelings that often, ppl bring so much of their RT self with them to on-line, that they show their TRUE selves......

Shadowglade~~~ *nodding to Sabre* Indeed....I see what you're saying now...*chuckle* I suppose the question then should be, How do We make it clear to keep RT issues in private without scaring off the newbies...*chuckle*

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ but at this point, galah would like to agree with whomever mentioned about the Free also role playing more to the point of what actions they are also doing...slaves are taught from day one to be soooo descriptive and yet Frees come in and don't explain where they are, what they are doing most of the time....it needs to be a fully interactive situation to make it the best for all....what goes on in whispers/icq is another thing though, that is where the friendships develop and rt talk can be taken...and just try not to drop the pms, for that can be quite embarrassing heheheheheee **dark eyes look up to her Master**

SabreWolf~~~ I suppose the Priest Kings gonna handle a lot of it,,grins, and by Us being the best roleplayers We can be while in public,,again,,setting the example for the new folks,

zoya{MKS}~~~ ~*~nodding in agreement with both galah and Master Sabrewolf~*~

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ one of the most hurtful things to a slave, as this has been discussed many a time in slave discussions, are Masters that don't respond in anyway whatsoever to a serve....that is usually because a Master has not the grasp of what role play is, or this one assumes that is why....even a glaring look toward one serving is better than NO response at all

Phen~~~ My thoughts exactly First Girl...I know it is hard when one is new but I offer help in whisper especially a new FW and give her sites to visit...Though I am not being biased when I say this it seems to Me to be more of a Male thing....*Ducking for cover*....Not to describe or talk much...

Lemuel~~~ ~grinning in silence at Phen's word's~

Jondalar~~~ I agree with galah...I have found since coming to Port Kar that the F/W and slaves are so much better with their role play..Us Masters/men in general have a hard time with it...you might say we are pale compared to the ladies!

SabreWolf~~~ I've tossed My share of empty tankerds back into the servery,,laughs,,

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ this one agrees with you also Mistress Phen, FW do seem to have a grasp of the role play situation better than does most Masters, it must be hard or harder for Men to show such actions and there are no classes or anything to help Them

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ so you're the One denting all the vessels Slave Master? heheheheheheheee hehehehehee

jasma{Tk}~~~ ~looking over at Master SabreWolf.. whispering~.. and horns.. ~s~

Jondalar~~~ Wolf...that is not all You have thrown about..LOL

Phen~~~ *Laughs at Sabre words*....Aye galah but what I don't understand I look to Bolt, Rollo, Sabre, Shadowglade, Kyoto They all and do Role play why can't Other Men follow or learn by this example....

SabreWolf~~~ honestly,,I feel Folks get in a hurry,,We don't have to run in,,set down and order a drink in one post,,Gor is not a fast paced place

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ maybe cause the Ones You speak of are often not around enough to set the wonderful examples?

zoya{MKS}~~~ ~*~nods to Mistress Phen~*~ yes, and once zoya heard and saw Master Durst land His tarn, oooooo it was soooo real, a very good example of good roleplay...maybe the Master's could give classes? ~*~snickering~*~

Kayla~~~ Not usually, but there are times when it is very fast paced ~LOL~

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ heheheee many new Masters try to take the drink on the first posting of a serve and the girl hasn't even come close to Him yet hehehehehehee

Shadowglade~~~ *eyebrows raising at the first girl*

Shadowglade~~~ Many newbies aren't aware that there is so much ceremony to Gor galah....one can't blame Them for not knowing better...I was once One of them...*chuckle* and had to learn to wait...

jasma{Tk}~~~ ~offering~
and it don't have to be a long descriptive post either.. Master Lemuel came in tonight and dusted off His yellow tunic..
not a long post, but descriptive enough to show us He is from the Builder's Caste.

Phen~~~ Ahhhh well galah, zoya My Pirate Prince *WG* has been trying for ages to get something going involving the Caste of Warriors and now with the Help of Shadowglade something is being submitted to the Council this very day*SS*

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ face paced is not a good plan on Gor....**nods her head back and forth** when a girl gets taken to an alcove and told to harta for He only has a half an ahn....now why does he bother? for that is NOT adequate time to properly serve a Master

Rollo the Ax~~~ LOL..and some of us are even slower than others.....LOL.. the difference between what men do and what women do are always the same...RT and VT....

zoya{MKS}~~~ it was never explained to zoya, but over time she caught on, things take time, gor is not to be rushed, if people don't have time, nothing we can do about that, but if you do, it's a very beautiful thing, zoya for one can't stand to 'chat' with people that continue to ramble on and don't wait for your response...have become to used to the way things go in here, one speaks and others reply and wait in turn, per say

Rollo the Ax~~~ LOL..LOL.. Looking at galah.....* Now come on, girl....you have just become spoiled when it comes to * things * not happening fast......LOL...LOL..

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ and even a "harta" serve to a good Master, is most unsatisfying for a girl most the time, she only wants to be found pleasing and to do soooo can't always be done when being hurried

SabreWolf~~~ well,,the forum was starting,,winks to zoya and grins,,

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ she meant a "harta" drink or food serve in her last posting

Phen~~~ OK now these serves are there a set posting for normal ones so to speak??? 5posts???..

Lemuel~~~ ~smiling at jasma's words~ Sometimes less can be more if the right words are used

zoya{MKS}~~~ ~*~smiles, cheeks blushing to Master Sabrewolf~*~ was satisfying for zoya ~*~licking her lips~*~
understood Master

SabreWolf~~~ if it were a spar,,5 post would be the normal,,3 post would be a harta ass whoppin,,laughs,,just ask Bolt,,He's taken a few,,laughs,,

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ sometimes, a harta serve becomes necessary Slave Master, galah don't mean always, there are exceptions, and this one has given the girls permission to harta serve new Masters, for they(new FP) have not the patience to enjoy a proper serve

zoya{MKS}~~~ aye Mistress Phen, a proper gorean slave's serve has 5 postings

Phen~~~ *Laughs* That's the problem I know all about sparing rules and number of posts as it seems to be more or less a unified model...But serves change per room and site....

Kayla~~~ ~Taking special note of Sabre's comment to save for Bolt ~smiling~

Phen~~~ OK to Me though at times this can be very long especially if the girl is gifted with the use of words....Is there any discretion on the girl's behalf if the tavern is busy and she knows that a three post serve would be better under certain circumstances?

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ if the tavern is especially busy, then the slave should be serving more than One at a time...a tray of pagas to pass around, that kind of serve can be done

Rollo the Ax~~~ LOL.. well folks..... if this topic has been covered enough, it might be a good time to move on to the other part of tonights forum...

Priest-Kings of Gor

Rollo the Ax~~~ LOL.. Okay then... for the second part of tonights forum, we will have our Advisor Bolt Sarakai give his speech about the PKs.......

Rollo the Ax~~~ Take it away, Bolt.....the floor is yours..... You can let ppl know if and when you want them to speak or ask questions......

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~Nods to the Senior Captain~
Now I will tell you all that what I have to say only comes from reading the books, I will not supply any quotes but I intend to give most here a general overview of the Priest Kings of Gor..

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~Addressing my audience, dark green eyes sweep the tavern~
Now has anyone got a particular question they would like addressed tonight?

jasma{Tk}~~~ ~listening~

BladeBane~~~ *Listens*...

Lemuel~~~ ~leaning elbows on table, leaning forward, listening~

Bolt Sarakai~~~ I will take that as a no ~chuckles~ Ok, to lead into this discussion on Priest Kings firstly I would like to describe Gor...
Gor is a planet, similar to the earth, it lies on the other side of the sun from the earth, held there in place by the technology of the Priest Kings...Apparently they have technology that can even turn earths satellites away or shield Gor from there prying eyes.

SabreWolf~~~ in a world where scent is the main sense,,seems to Me They'd be able to smell a long ways,,like a sleen,,as well as discriminate the finer less predominate smells of language,,

Bolt Sarakai~~~ Upon the planet of Gor there is two sets of thinking belonging to those below the mountains, as we mortals are known. This is called the double knowledge. The lower castes are relatively ignorant of the more important events upon gor, they think the world is flat amongst other things. Those of the High Castes are aware of another knowledge, that of the world is round, they know about earth, even if they do not believe in its existence, which many don't, but tying all this knowledge together is the Priest Kings...

Bolt Sarakai~~~ The Priest Kings live in the Sardar Mountains, a range of mountains to the north and west of the city of Ar, it is here at their foot that the Sardar fairs are held at the 4 major times of the gorean calender. It must be said now that all free people of the cities must, before they reach 25 years of age, journey to the Sardar fair and pay homage to the Priest Kings. This is done from a platform at the base of the mountains.
Not that any one ever sees them, they are like absentee rulers or divinities of the planet and take little interest in the mortals affairs, except for one area, and that is technology...

Rollo the Ax~~~ If I remember correctly, Bolt, the whole planet was moved there by the PK from a different galaxy or solor system to begin with....

SabreWolf~~~ I figure thats why They ain't picked some Of Us up yet,,grins,,They moved it again and ain't got back round to Us yet,,

BladeBane~~~ *Nods in agreement with Rollo and listens intently*..

BladeBane~~~ *Chuckles softly at Sabre*...

although a girl didn't post this during the discussion.. she thought it would be appropriate to post this in the edited notes for that page.
My father then spoke to me of the world on which I found myself. He said, from what he could learn from the Initiates, who claimed to serve as the intermediaries of Priest-Kings to men, that the planet Gor had originally been a satellite of a distant sun, in one of the fantastically remote Blue Galaxies. It was moved by the science of the Priest-Kings several times in its history, seeking again and again a new star. I regarded this story as improbable, at least in part, for several reasons, primarily having to do with the sheer special improbabilities of such a migration, which, even at a speed approximating light, would have taken billions of years. Moreover, in moving through space, without a sun for photosynthesis and warmth, all life would surely have been destroyed.
If the planet had been moved at all, and I knew enough to understand that this was empirically impossible, it must have been brought into our system from a closer star. Perhaps it had once been a satellite of Alpha Centauri, but, even so, the distances still seemed almost unimaginable. Theoretically, I did admit that the planet might have been moved without destroying its life, but the engineering magnitude of such a feat staggered the imagination. Perhaps life might have been suspended temporarily or hidden beneath the planet's surface with sufficient sustenance and oxygen for the incredible journey. In effect, the planet would have functioned as a gigantic sealed spacecraft.
Tarnsman of Gor, pages 32-33

Bolt Sarakai~~~ The Priest Kings have an advanced state of technology and have probes that can view most events on the planet at any point in time, this technology is located in the nest, deep within the Sardar Mountains. Through some of their technology great leaps have happened in the healing and building castes, and now disease is virtually unknown upon Gor. The one area where they take a most active interest is technology and from this the most powerful weapons are still the crossbow and spear. Any who dares to try and get around their technology edict have been known to just erupt into blue flame. This is called the blue flame death...
Now before I proceed any further, has anyone got any questions?

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~Hearing Rollo~
Aye Captain, it is also said this has been done many times before in the past as well. Yet here, they have seen to have found an excellent resting place, if not for the Kurii that is, but that is another matter entirely..

BladeBane~~~ Nope...You're doing great, Bolt...*Grins*..

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~Winks to Bladebane, or rather to behind him as well~

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~rumaging throught the parchments on the table to find the one I am after~
Ahhh ~looking up~ So is everyone clear on the technology edict, if so, I will return to the Sardar Mountains and the Preist Kings themselves..

Kayla~~~ *nodding at Bolt, understanding*

Shadowglade~~~ Aye...

Cara~~~ *listening and understanding*

BladeBane~~~ *Nods*...

zoya{MKS}~~~ ~*~nods, her eyes wide with interest, listening closely~*~

Lemuel~~~ Yes, as a Builder I am very familiar with the edict...

SabreWolf~~~ As I entered I heard the mourful tolling of the huge, hollow metal bar which stands some way from the gate. I had heard the tolling before, and knew that it signified that yet another mortal had entered the Sardar. It was a depressing sound, and not made less so by my realization that in this case it was I who had entered the mountains. As I listened it occured to me that the purpose of the bar might not be simply to inform the men of the fair that the Sardar had been entered but to inform the Priest-Kings as well.
I looked behind myself in time to see the great gate close. It shut without sound.
p.18, Priest Kings of Gor

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~Looking around at my rapt audience and grinning~
Very well...The Sardar Mountains are considered to be taboo by all goreans, although occaisionally one man enters them never to be seen again. Even the wildlife of Gor do not enter the Sacred place and if one must go, it is then afoot. It is also rumoured that within the Sardar Mountains and the home of the Priest Kings lies the supreme homestone, and it is rumoured to be the source of the Priest Kings power...

serena{B}~~~ ~~~nodding~~~serena understands so far

Bolt Sarakai~~~ Thanks Sabre for that quote of when Tarl starts his journey into the Sardar mountains ~S~
Now I come to knowledge that would not and is not available to most people on Gor, and it is only through the books of John Norman that the next parts can be given...The nest and the Priest Kings themselves...

Bolt Sarakai~~~ The Priest Kings themselves are like...umm, the best way for me to describe them is like a praying mantis of earth...On one hand they are extremely intelligent, yet on the other, when it comes to rational beings they are quite naive. By rational beings I am talking about the humans, and the kurii upon the planet...
The Priest kings possess remarkable technology including crewless ships used for the Voyages of Acquisiton, and other remote drones that act as a camera, it is this way they look upon the world of men, enforcing their technology edict...

Bolt Sarakai~~~ The Priest Kings also need a translator to talk with humans and here is a quote that describes a certain situation when Tarl meets a PK..
I watched Vika and suddenly she seemed too to know and her head lifted and her eyes widened with horror and she crept to her knees, her hands before her face as though to shield herself and she shuddered and suddenly uttered a wild long terrible scream of abject fear.
I drew my sword and turned.
It stood framed in the doorway.
In its way it was very beautiful, golden and tall, looming over me, framed in that massive portal. It was not more than a yard but its head nearly touched the top of the portal and I would judge that, standing as it did, it must have been nearly eighteen feet high.
It had six legs and a great head like a globe of gold with eyes like vast luminous disks. Its two forelegs poised and alert, were lifted delicately in the front of its body. It's jaws opened and closed once. They moved laterally.
From it's head there extended two fragile, jointed appendages, long and covered with short quivering strands of golden hair. These two appendages, like eyes, swept the room once and then seemed to focus on me.
They curved toward me like delicate golden pincers and each of the countless golden strands pointed toward me like a quivering golden needle.
I could not conjecture the nature of the creature's experience but I knew that I stood within the center of its sensory field.
About it's neck there hung a small circular device, a translator of some sort, similar to but more compact than those I had hitherto seen.
I sensed a new set of odors, secreted by what stood before me.
Almost simultaneously a mechanically reproduced voice began to emanate from the translator.
It spoke in Gorean.
I knew what it would say.
"LO Sardar", it said, "I am a Priest King."
"I am Tarl Cabot of Ko-ro-ba," I said
Priest-Kings of Gor, PG 75-76

BladeBane~~~ Bolt...wouldn't praying mantis on steroids explain them quite well? *grins*...

Lemuel~~~ "We have four hundred Priest-Kings who operate the scanners, and we are accordingly well informed. For example, if there is a violation of our weapons laws we usually, sooner or later, discover it and after determining the coordinates put into effect the Flame Death Mechanism.”
p. 125 Priest-Kings

Rollo the Ax~~~ Perhaps a combination somewhere between a mantis and an ant ....is the way I took the description.... but then, like in so many things from the books, it is open to interpretation...

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~Laughs~ Very well perhaps Bladebane...They are quite remarkable creatures. Their main communciation is through scent, they smell things. Take for instance their artwork, it is only smells place in such a way as we would a painting, to give an overall effect. Truly, they are little concerned with the affairs of the mean below the mountains, us mortals..

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding at the Captain's description~ This is also how I envision them.

Bolt Sarakai~~~ Excellent Lemuel ~S~
Now within the nest there is still politics and with this politics we see the almost total destruction of the nest. The books dont go into how damaged the PK power is, but leave it saying it must be seriuosly drained...And with all this talk of the Priest Kings, I will have to say that the Kurii, a warlike race of aliens are planning to take over this world, and that of earth. It is only the PK's advanced technology that keeps them at bay.

Bolt Sarakai~~~ Now I will have a question time...Anything anyone wishes clarification on or further discussion?

jasma{Tk}~~~ ... I wondered if men of my species would have difficulty telling Priest-Kings apart. I would later learn to do so easily but at first I was often confused. The Priest-Kings themselves distinguish one another by scent but I, of course, would do so by eye.
Page 84 Priest-Kings of Gor
I would learn later that in scent it wore its rank, caste, and station as clearly on its body as an officer in one of the armies of Earth might wear his distinguishing braid and metal bars.
Page 85, Priest-Kings of Gor

Cara~~~ according to the books has anyone ever seen the priest kings and lived to tell about it or are they just a possible legend of what they look like???

Bolt Sarakai~~~ Excellent jasma! ~S~

BladeBane~~~ Yes, Cara, Tarl Cabot saw them, and lived to tell. In fact, he made quite good friends with Misk, one of the Priest Kings. They shared Nest Trust.

Rollo the Ax~~~ Trivia time, Bolt.....How many PK names where given ????

Cara~~~ oh so it isn't like our god in that upon seeing them they are blinded or anything like that???

Shadowglade~~~ *nodding to Lemuel* Aye which is PK for "friendship"..

Bolt Sarakai~~~ Ahh good question Cara...
Before the third book, Priest Kings of Gor, there had been no actual sighting of the PK's or the news of anyone entering the mountains and returning. But with the 3rd book the nest war happened, and the slaves of the PK's, well a lot of them were released out into the world, if they survived or not, it doesn't say...But Tarl Cabot has seen the PK's and lived, but he also serves them and has let none know anything of his travels there ~S~

Rollo the Ax~~~ There were also * muls * or humans that were from the nest that left after the nest war back into the world of men, so yes, there would have been a few that had seen them

BladeBane~~~ *Chuckles softly and grins to Shadowglade*..

Shadowglade~~~ Nay Lady, The Preist Kings are worshipped by Goreans as godlike, but most do not know that they truly exist, nor what they look like...Tarl met them, and was One of the very few to live to tell of it...mainly because He was put into their service as an agent on Gor...

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~G~ Trivia time eh Captain? Well how many names were mentioned...Ummm, I remeber probably only 3 I think ~laughs~ But it has been a while since I visited the book in depth!

serena{B}~~~ there was also warriors that saw them, but didnt know at the time they were Priest Kings

Cara~~~ *understanding now and sitting back and listening again*

BladeBane~~~ *Scratching my head...puzzled expression*...Rollo, I believe it was 3 Priest Kings named, was it not? Misk, Sarm and Kusk? Dammit, Me and My swiss cheese memory...*LOL*...

Rollo the Ax~~~ There was also another time that Tarl spoke to Misk outside the nest when other men saw the outline at night of Misk and wanted to kill him, or more likely defend themselves from the * monster *.. but Tarl set them away while He spoke with Misk.... so many have seen them and lived

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~Chuckles as I look to Bladebane~ Must be the tavern's paga eh?

serena{B}~~~ serena only can remember Misk & Sarm

Lemuel~~~ ~nodding agreement with Bolt~ Yes, I remember only three whose names were given. Misk, Sarm, and the doctor that created the clones Al-Ka and Ba-Ta. Forgot the name.

serena{B}~~~ nodding head in agreement with Master Rollo

BladeBane~~~ Naawwww...paga tavern aren't the problem...it's the *morning after* that's the problem...*LOL*...drinking only kills the weak brain cells.

Lemuel~~~ ~slapping forehead~ Yes, Blade is right, it was Kusk!

jasma{Tk}~~~ ~looking up.. listening about the Paga.. whispering~.. thought it was the sock Paga.. ~lowering eyes and continuing with task~

Bolt Sarakai~~~ Well I think this evenings talk will have given some of you a better understanding, and this brings my talk to an end...But please, let us continue the ideas coming out!

Rollo the Ax~~~ LOL.. Aye Bladebane.... to My memory, those are the ONLY 3 PKs named in the book, although they never give a number of total PKs in the nest....so it is left to our imaginations to put a number on them.... and that should be noted on the old nest.... later if more PKs are born to the new Mother and winged male, would a whole new nest be built, or just take over the old nest .....???? LOL. Who knows.....??????

Lady Karmania~~~ listening

BladeBane~~~ *Massive hand rising to pound left shoulder**...Well done, Bolt!

BladeBane~~~ Rollo, didn't they have an alternative nest? One that wasn't quite ready when the Nest War broke out?...

Shadowglade~~~ *Slapping My left shoulder with My right palm, and nodding, grinning to the Advisor and speaker of the night*....Muchly informative Advisor....

Kayla~~~ Well done Bolt...~warm smiles~

Lemuel~~~ Captain Rollo, the original PK Mother died in the book.
“I regret only,” said Misk, “that I never learned the location of the last egg, but that secret died with the Mother."

Rollo the Ax~~~ Thank You for Your time and effort, Bolt, on this presentation.... We will do this again....on a different subject, to keep helping those of GS, and on-line Gor to learn and improve......

Lemuel~~~ Thank you for an interesting evening, Bolt!

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~Nods slightly and smiles to the patrons and my friends and putting the parchments into somewhat a neat pile~
I have enjoyed Rollo, and if called upon, will do so again Captain!

Rollo the Ax~~~ it has been awhile since I read the book last, but I seem to remember there being a young female or female egg hidden in the nest, and the * last egg * was the quest given Tarl to recover from the Wagon Ppl .....

galah{RA}GSFG~~~ **claps lil hands in appreciation and awe of Master Sarakai**

BladeBane~~~ Lemuel...didn't Tarl recover the egg from Kamchak? it was the leathery footrest in his wagon, no?...

Lemuel~~~ Sorry Captain, forgot the page number. It was p. 312.

Rollo the Ax~~~ Later...... in just which book, I don't remember, I seem to also remember a short passage about some sailors seeing a large winged insect either fall into the sea, or such ???? could it have been the result of a mating flight, like ants, of PKs, and the male dying afterwards ??????

Bolt Sarakai~~~ ~Smiles to galah and jas~
So Rollo, is todays forum at a close? I would like to meet the new builder in the tavern...

Lemuel~~~ Blade...I believe Kamchak tossed it to Tarl to examine at one point in "Nomads" didn't he?

BladeBane~~~ Yeah...he did...*Chuckles softly*...and at the time, Tarl thought it was a rock, then noticed how light it was and the leathery consistancy of it...
