Rollo the Ax well, its looks like I am late, so without any further ado lets officially open this weeks forum, shall we ??? Welcome one and all to this weeks GS forum... same rules as always.. and I guess that the first topic will be this * hand washing * issue ??? okay ?? lets have any input......
lynn {SY} ~r~ lynn thinks washing and drying hands before a serve was discussed one evening in class,,hmmm this girl thinks it's only the proper thing to do.
Laroona I have seen the hand washing in other sites is it necessary here in GS the girls have all been taught one way and type at least a 4 to 5 post serve to me it is more typing she must do... and often what a girl types goes un-noticed
furi {Loki} ~chain to fidget~ serves can be long enough....sometimes Free don't wish to sit through them so adding another step....no problem for the slaves to do....but do the Free wish to wait for it? for furi the process would be a full post in itself
KatherineEspair I agree with You Laroona, it is one extra thing to do and much of the time things go unnoticed. Yet is it not the little things that matter sometimes when someone does?
Laroona furi I agree I have seen so many slaves serves never comented on till the end... in my opinion that is rude and it does not give a slave her full heart in the future ....
Nerius maybe Im a bit different but serves for Me dont go un-noticed...but as far as hand washing goes...only if the girl has been extremely busy, would it worry Me

furi {Loki} ~chain to fidget~ hmmm.....then perhaps a serve could be moer interactive...a slave not proceeding until a response is made by the Free on their previous post back and forth....makes for more interesting rp to play off of someone rather than go through the motions washing hands would only be another motion to go through....at least in furi's opinion
galah{GS} perhaps if it was a case by case thing, depending on what a slave had been doing, or if she is gonna be handling food, say if a Master orders bread, a slave would break a hunk of bread off, she would need clean hands to do that....but for a drink? a girl never touches the rim where lips are put especially since we stopped the checking the rim on body part thing hehehee

Once again, in MY humble opinion, it is simply an added point each one could choose to use in her role play...or not... I mean really, folks... as has been said, they already do so much that goes un-noticed or outwardly ignored, does it seem reasonable or logical to add even more petty crap to their work load ??? not really. in my opinion......

furi {Loki} ~chain to fidget~ Mistress Katherine Espair the vessel is always wiped and polished with a rep cloth....at least alleviating some of the finger prints.....rep in hand also helps clean natural oils from fingertips.....resulting in less fingerprints but aye......furi would think most Goreans could careless about them
Ulrich The way I look at it, you have your basic KEY parts of the serve. Acknowledgement, 3 steps back, going to get it, returning, and delivery How those are carried out can't be mandated down to every detail or we lose the pleasure of the individuality of each girl. If a girl wants to detail washing her hands, turning the spigot on or off, or whatever minute detail... great. But if we mandate all of these things as every serve, where is the latitude for a girl to make it hers?
galah{GS} oooohhh but Mistress, we always wipe the vessel really well, would not the oily fingerprints end up on the rep cloth....many a time gal makes a point of saying she is wiping all the fingerprints from a vessel, granted, there could be some faint ones left by the time she carts the vessel out and offers it up, but thats even gonna happen with clean hands and worse yet if she didn't wipe them well heheheee

( but you are right in the fact that the right pills help in the end... no wait, the pills go in the mouth, right ??? ) LOL...LOL...

Laroona slaves should offer and hope her serve was pleasing.... that is all I ever consider to be needed why some even offer to taste is IMO not needed so why pray as that also IMO is an offense to the home ... as they would never have tainted food or drinks

I believe at times, that many folks here, and at other on-line Gor sites, get so caught up in the petty shit that they overlook the real picture.... 3 steps or 2 ?? wash hands or dirty ??? offer to serve from accross the room or kneeling right in front ?? hell, begging to enter or any one of a thousand tiny points ????? That the hell is the BIG DEAL ??? if ANY slave shows respect and tries her best to serve or even just be here, WHY take some sort of pleasure in finding fault ???? The gods KNOW I am not perfect.... why should * I * require any different from any other being ??????
galah{GS} everyone says thats how its done at gs....couldn't any of these changes spoken about be changed here and now? and leave latitude in case a girl still does it the old way for awhile? one can certainly show proper respect without stepping away three steps, and without an elaborate offering at the end....if anyone ever comes to slave class, they could relearn the new ways?

Ulrich Well said Rollo, and so true. It seems I fell out of the loop, and I see that has been removed from the training material. The 3 steps wasn't really my point, it's just one of the things that popped in my head. The point was, every piece can't be mandated or we lose the individuality.

galah{GS} now granted, using a sling shot to shoot a drink off to a Master would be very very disrespectful....but it just goes to show how slaves pick up the point that serves are often not even read....my very first serve after returning home from my long break, i caught trouble for not closing the cold room door.....i had been very very clear in my posting about closing the door and i was extrememly hurt, for i had put my all into that serve

galah{GS} its bad enough when they don't respond to a serve...but worse when they give you trouble over doing something that you know you did....and nit pick at crazy things, like not opening a spigot and closing it in the cold room. i never do that as i assume that i am not seen when i am in there so why would i explain....a serve should be done as in the eyes of the one your serving, what it is that THEY can see
Ulrich Some Free seem to think it's their duty to find a problem with a serve to "prove" they are paying attention. When in reality, they should just acknowledge the work the girl has done, and appreciate the beauty. If the girl has been respectful, and brought it without spilling it, I'm usually pretty satisfied. Lol

galah{GS} yes Master Ulrich, but that brings me to another thing....i have also seen girls in GS that do a minimum effort to serve....slaves are to strive to be their best but some don't put anything of themselves into it....that also needs to change, the putting oneself into the serve is wayyyyyyyyy more important that the steps in my opinion

Ulrich aye galah r/p is a 2 way street. The goal is to make sure we have the best slaves in all of Gor. We have some work to do, but we'll get there eventually.
But why stop with the best slaves. Let's all pull together and have the best group of Free in all of Gor. Then we would have the best site in Gor. Is that not right?

to remember within their serve... often times concentrating on that to be found pleasing rather than allowing their serve to blossom from within and the need in them flourish and show the Free for a very long time and many trainers
tend to focus on the picky things rather than teach the girl to serve with heat and allow her to be herself some girls have been fortunate to be guided by an intelligent Master who teaches girls the difference

Rollo the Ax Quick as a flash, I slip the collar up my arm, whip out a lenght of binding fiber from my belt, and bind her hands firmly.... then slide the collar back down into my hand.... bending down further I open the collar with one hand and grab the girls hair with the other... pulling her head back and up slightly, I slide the collar around her bare neck until both ends meet.. then I take a small key from my belt pouch, place it into the lock on the collar, and with a muffeled CLICK the act is done......
