What is the value of a slave?
After researching for several ahn the best that that this Jarl could find that the value of a slave is what the Master / Owner thinks the slave is worth.
This hypothesis is based on the following quotes;
"I had been sold for six copper tarsks. It was my worth on Gor."

A girl would agree with You on that Master Dak, if one tried to live by all of the contradictions encapsulated in the books one would go crazy.
As flicka has said before, it is unlikely that John Norman envisaged that a group of people would, online (um impossible actually as the net had not even been thought of when He began writing the Gor novels), develop role playing rooms based on His books. By doing so we encounter some strange anomalies, where in the books is toilet paper mentioned? On one hand we have some first girls with slave goads, akin to a cattle prod, presumably powered by batteries. And yet in our Tavern we have lamps, again presumably because there is no electricity.

If I understood what I was reading correctly, the energy globes were not available generally. Weren't they restricted to the Nest? And the Physicians had some medical equipment that was said to be equal to modern medicine on earth. But obviously that equipment was not available to everyone. And there were also some things that seem to be contradictions that really are not. They are merely due to differences in culture among the different groups on Gor. I don't say there are no contradictions, just not as many as some folks think.
