first.. GS owned slaves live in GS so it seemed unnecessary to have them beg to enter a place they where already in.... so from now on, GS owned slave need NOT beg to enter any GS room.... they must post an entrance... but not beg or be allowed to enter any more...

Privately owned slaves will still have to beg to enter.. the logic is that they come from their Masters home/ship/ holding... so they are coming from some place other than inside GS...

also.. It has been decided that in the best interest of everybody... The Council, patrons, and slaves... that from this point on, the Council will not entertain any offers to sell any slave to a NON pledged patron of GS... and that said patron will have to have been pledged for at least 3 months to ensure that he/she knows just what is involved in owning a slave....

There has also been a set of rules made for what GS slaves are required to do at the Gorean Inn in Poolside... the details will be given them at slave class or by the Slave Master(s)... but it is basiclly that they are NOT require to offer to serve, but if asked they will do a harta, one post serve.. NO sexual serves or open scening in the Inn... and try to get folks to come to GS and see what Gor is about ...

Alright, the statement I wished to make was this:
GS has been in existance now for 7 years....in that time it has seen amazing growth, some amazing people come out of it's ranks, among them my fellow Captains on the Council, and some excellent slaves, many of whom are in attendance tonight. All of this has pleased me immensely to have been a part of it.
However, folks, GS has also seen it's fair amount of strife, ugliness, feuds (of which I and my Brother Kyoto were also guilty, or rather I was) and among them is something I call "social incest"....it's something that happens to ALL tight knit groups....people begin through familiarity with others to believe they have the right to know what is going on in the lives and dealings of their fellows, and this continues and continues before hard feelings develop and battle lines are drawn, and then the whole group of people becomes weakened by the discord that goes on......GS is and has suffered this often, right now, in my view we are enjoying a time when that isn't completely so in our home....but let me caution you all, and in doing so, also caution myself. Let us not grow lax, let
us remember our compassion towards one another, and let us not look at our home as an "us and them" situation. We are ALL of GS, free and slave alike....and in my view we need to tighten our bonds, rather than weaken them. Conversely we should also ALWAYS be on guard against Strangers.....and as stated in the Homepages, Stranger, in Gorean, means the same as Enemy....
I want for us to be strong, Gorean, and for ALL of us to be able to enjoy our time in GS together.....
That is all I wished to state

It is as it always has been and should be.... a NEW person or member MUST be observed for a while to be seen as proving themselves as worthy of joining the GROUP .... any group/tribe/herd/pack..... and until they do so, they will not be as close to all as the others... but they still should be allowed to CHANCE to earn their place in the group...

Shadowglade, You know Me well as friend. I hear your words, read your words, and if that were true of this world, My heart would indeed soar and never again would I walk with trepidation. I continue to believe, despite the chiding from friends such as yourself about
my 'naivety" that everyone has a basic nature of goodness within them. It is just our role to see that goodness perhaps where they do not see it in themselves, and bring it out. Whether that be in GS or in GI. I think you are wise for helping us all to remember the open but cautious mind and generosity of spirit we should all strive toward.

Indeed, Laroona, lest my statement be misconstrued. I am not advocating being rude, or ignoring guests who come with honor to my home, nor am I stating we should be a bunch of Gorean elitists who look down upon someone who doesn't know, or follow our version of Gor as closely as we do....what I AM saying is that GS is our home, we should all take pride in it, and ALL of us, slave and free men, and free women should ALL seek to better our home, by welcoming new folks, lending a hand, being true to ourselves, and our natures, but also not be so quick to judge them
