Gor's mightiest river, flowing thousands of pasangs in a slightly southwesterly direction from it's source in the Voltai Range to the marshes of the Vosk Delta, the Tamber Gulf, and on the the Thassa, it rampages across most of known Gor, over forty pasangs broad..
there's a section in Tarnsman of Gor starting on page 72.. but it would take forever for jaz to type it up.. ~apologetic eyes~
As I crossed the Vosk, that mighty river, some forty pasangs in width, which hurtles past the frontiers of Ar to pour into the Tamber Gulf, I realized that I was at last within the borders of the Empire of Ar. Sana had insisted that I keep the pellet of poison which the Council had given her to spare her from the otherwise inevitable tortures that would follow the disclosure of her identity in the cylinders of Ar. However, I took the pellet from my tunic and dropped it into the wide waters of the Vosk.

A pasang is about seven-tenths of a mile. Most travel distances are expressed in pasangs. Speeds are also expressed in these units.

Mandi~~~ That was strange, Garawin. I was about Gor when it happened, and Evan handled it quite well. It was four a.m. Poolside time and F/few were even around.
It was a few hours too early to roust Logan from His furs.
Garawin~~~ Yes - I agree - thought He handled it well - though I think that after He explained the situation - He should have been able to tell myst to leave - captured or not - as it was an illegal capture - He shouldn't have had to pay that &*^%$#@$
Mandi~~~ The Man Who captured myst was all too anxious to do so, yet would not take the responsibility to make the word of His Ubar good. The Ubar did reimburse Logan, Who, in turn, reimbursed Evan; yet, some damage was done, in My opinion, by the illegal capture.
Rollo the Ax~~~ Well, Garawin... where the girl was * captured * and then ransomed right back, it seems like a bit of fun rope playing to Me... now should she have been captured and NOT returned, then that wouls have started a major shit storm... but as it went, I have no major problems... people need to remember to take things slowly, and not be so willing to go to war over minor mistakes or misunderstandings.... in MY opinion...

Errand Knight~~~ Lemuel and other Council members present: a thought ...some months ago there was a discussion which caught me on the hop about Physicians on gor ..I tried my best to answer questions and many others did too ..I would have luved to have been better prepared rt rely on c&p of bits of My scrolls. My thought is that it would be fun to do stuff on not only other Castes but professions and rolls particularly with people here who follow that path. For example what about a Tuckuk and a camp slave and the differences between them and Uus..or find out something about Rollos mob?

Paedur of Culai~~~ I belong to a Dom Group that has a poll each month as to what is wanted next to be discussed. We make suggestions and the general membership votes, and what ever wins the most votes, that is the discussion for the next meeting. It also allows Us to get speakers for that discussion, without too many surprises. Perhaps something similar here?
