1. Assassins Honour Gold and Steel, nothing else.
2. Assassins will not take contracts on other members of their Caste.
3. Assassins kill slaves as any other Gorean has right to do but they shall not take coin on the killing.
4. Assassins carry a Dagger edged on one side that simply said "I sought him, I have found Him" when entering a room Your Mark is in, You must enter clearly Marked i.e. a black dagger painted onto your killer's av.
5. Assassins shall not fight or spar unless for coin with the strict exception of defense.
6. If any Assassin wishes to spar they will do so by having their opponet or onlookers place coin upon the match.
7. Assassins wearing the Gold sash on their helmets (This shall be denoted by a golden dagger or the name painted in gold upon the av.) were likewise left alone in the cities(again this is a privelege, and make sure You state the messenger somewhere like the initial markings of a Mark).
8. Assassins, if coin is accepted, will be expected to fulfill their agreement and hunt and kill whomever they are contracted to. No Assassin wil use poision in the fufillment of a contract it is the mark of an amature and will not be tolerated.
9. Assassins shall not give out the name of the person paying the Mark. Make sure to check out the identity of the Person paying the Mark to be assured of it being a known person, although once again reasons are irrelevant.
10. If an Assassins is membered to an Order, all contracts will be subjected to review by the Elder or High Council of that Order. If He is recognized and independant, the contract will be taken as always by the agent and subject to reveiw by the Master Assassin.
11. Assassins MUST conform to the rules set forth by the Council, meaning, before accepting a mark, read the rules regarding kills and Assassins as set forth by the council.
12. Assassins can be hired for things other than to kill. Assassins can be hired by Houses or Homes as a Sword, or per say, a bodyguard. Captures, etc also possible.
13. Ubars/Admistratiors (This includes Ubaras, and Tatrixs), have the option to refuse a challenge from an Assassins if in His own home, due to the importance He holds in keeping that room together...(note that this concession is to help keep the growth of a room and Gor on the up and up), although, IF that room leader does refuse the challenge from an Assassin if He is marked, then it becomes a question of His honor. IF that room leader refuses the challenge, He is subject to the mark if found outside His home and the Assassin can finish the contract.
14. Any Assassin that attempts to turn his back on the Caste and leave the Caste shall be hunted down by others of the Caste and killed. There are no exceptions to this rule.
15. Breaking any of these Codes will result in having your dagger taken away, the Caste turning their backs on you and a possible hunt upon you, this is subject to the decision of the Master Assassin and The Elders of his Order.
16. An Assassin may not pledge his sword to a homestone, to do so is to turn his back on his caste, as there may be a conflict of interest should someone ask the Assassin to take a Mark within his homestone. Though An assassin, if hired by a home, may agree to deny hits upon that homestone as a part of the hiring agreement
