Laroona....all of your points are valid and have merit.... It would seem that the only other answer I can offer is .... should the slave NOT beg forgiveness in a timely manner, then every time she is seen, she should be reminded and chastised by the one due the apology...... IF it keeps taking longer, then it would seem that the FREE who owns her is either a laxed that he/she may not be qualified to own a slave, or they are using the slave in some petty pissing contest against the other FREE.... in either case, the end result is a questionable opinion of the OWNER of said slave......in MY opinion......

And for the life of Me I can't think of any situation that would NOT fit that mold.... but as we have all seen, there will at times be some reason or situation where some slave will hum and haw about admitting that they were wrong or did wrong.... so the question may also be how long should it take for any Free to REQUIRE their personal slave to offer such ?????

The only other issue sent to me is that of ~o~ collars in GS, and just who/whom may hand them out ???? This will have to be decided by the Council for an * official * answer ..... as there have been times in the past that ONLY captains may do such things.... and other times when Captains and Advisors may do so.... and then also times when ANY pledged Patron may do so.... So you see folks, any way you slice it.... any one of the 3 may be right or wrong... technically... so we will set a new limit or standard, and try to clear this issue up....Okay ?????

Now I have everything scheduled for the evenings or late afternoons GS times. At the last two festivals stuff scheduled earlier had poor attendance. Some events can be scheduled for the mornings or afternoons GS time if we think we might get people to show up for it. I'd like to post at the forum tomorrow night what I have listed below and get feed back. Perhaps an interest in other activities will be expressed and for stuff to be in the morning too.
Also since this is going to be the 'Procession to the Sea Festival' it was suggested we do something where we have a procession through the rooms. Perhaps even through the rooms at poolside chat too? I'm not sure how it would work or be done. Any thoughts??
During the festival all of Gorean Shores will be a ‘No Kill / No Capture’ and FW won’t be restricted from any of the rooms.
All times are North American Central Time Zone (GS room time)
DANCE CONTEST
The girls will be required to e mail their dance the by midnight Thursday June 1st to gsfestival@hotmail.com . The dances will then be forwarded to the judges with the name of the slave replaced with a number designation. The girls name should not be used in the dance. This is to make the judging fair and it gives the judges Friday and part of Saturday to review the dances. The slaves will give what times they will be available to do their dance in public on Friday or Saturday. This way the dances can be enjoyed through out the day.
Three categories to be judged are: best first dance, best yellow silk dance, best red silk dance
and best open dance. Open dance is a free form dance to be judged on humor, imagination and entertainment.
Judges for the slave dancing are: Laroona, Penny and Kha.
FW dance contest. Judges TBA
Friday night Sparring with short swords
Bouts will be 3 posts. Standard three/two actions, 10 minute time limit per post. The sparring will take place in the training yard. This will be run by Kyoto. Men interested in participating send an e mail with your availability to gsfestival@hotmail.com
Friday: 4:00PM Senior Captain Rollo will open the festival. Followed by
a white silk slave opening raffle. The girl – tba. Raffles sold for 3 tarsk bits. Only one raffle per man. Must be present to win. Raffles may be purchased from any GS Council member.
Followed by slave and FW dancing. 8:00PM Name that slaves.
4 or 5 slaves are chosen to enter the Tavern using the names Slave A, Slave B, Slave C, Slave D, Slave E. They each serve a drink to someone. When they are done the Free try and guess who each slave was.
9:00PM Gorean Trivia. Prepared questions will be asked from the 26 Gorean books by John Norman. The first right answer posted wins a point.

10:00PM Meat toss – Run by Orion
Saturday: 4:30 Gorean Jeopardy. A trivia question is asked from the 26 books by . John Norman. The first person to guess the correct answer then poses a . question of there own.
5:30PM Improvised group slave dance
A girl is chosen to start and writes about 4 or 5 lines of a dance. Then another girl is chosen and picks up where the last girl left off and so on.
6:30PM Dance contest winners announced
7:00PM Oar Dancing contest in the training yard. Run by Sandman It is addressed as any athletic activity for men, similar
to a judged spar. In the training yard a mock set of twelve oars running from a false ship side, complete with rail, running
to the ground below at a proper angle. Also a mud pit added at the bottom.
The men will have five posts to do their best to jump from oar to
oar (which even if not moving would be difficult due to their
narrowness) in an entertaining manner. The men, from the start must
leap from the rail to the oar and not touch ground or rail till they
are finished.
Then the Forkbeard himself drained the remains of the tankard,
threw it to the foot of the mast, and then, to my astonishment,
leapt from the ship, onto the moving oars. Then men sang. The
Forkbeard then, to the delight of those on the bank, who cheered
him, as the serpent edged into the dock, addressed himself
delightedly to the oar-dance of the rover of Torvaldsland. It is not
actually a dance, of course, but it is an athletic feat of no little
stature requiring a superb eye, fantastic balance and incredible
