Ok I have our first discussion point
We have all heard "Gor is a Man's world"
But how many of us would really submit to that statement?
If the men of the site or a home stood and had rules they *could* agree on, would you simply
(as a person in that homestone, Man, Free Woman or slave)
roll with those rules or would you want to have your voice and say as you do on earth?
Is it possible to leave that mentality behind that we *have* to be a democracy to have a successful site/room/etc?
What does the concept of Gor being a Mans world mean to you?

dena would like to say she would have been perfect in a Gorean society, that she would have never questioned her role...but the truth is she is VERY outspoken and independent. she is not sure that 24/7, 365 a year she could bend to a Man's will.

I believe that society in rt has numbed and dulled a lot of Oour minds as for it was once a Mans world though not as harsh but still along the guide lines....now days many women are so use to being independent that some would find it hard to submit to that lifestyle

Just because it's a Man's world, doesn't mean a FW or even a slave can't "WANT" to have their voice heard, or wish that things were different.
Though, if the speak their thoughts, they may not be heard, and if they are heard and taken the wrong way, they may pay a price.

I think it is ok for slave or FW speak their own thoughts in the Forum, as long as they understand outside this room, it IS still a Man's world, as the thinking is although possibly a Man may not Be right, He is never wrong

This is true. The forum is a place for all voices to be heard. Will those voices be acted upon? Sometimes, of course.

I agree with Thadron. Many women who have to "do it all" would LOVE, even for a short time, to be able to hand over the reins to someone else and relax for a bit. However, one has become accustomed to managing everything, it is often difficult for us to hand over those reigns, for fear someone else might mishandle what we have worked so hard to get running smoothly. This sometimes carries over to our on-line attitudes as well.

dena, that is one of the issues I have. I am a firm believer in studying and following the books, and it is Mythought that there are extremely few "on-lineisms" that are necessary. Most could be, and should be eliminated. That is whyt I had such a difficult time finding an on-line Home, because I was searching for one tht was closest to the books, and had the fewest on=line=isms.

That is an idea Thadron. It wouldn't require anything official. With slaves, training can be made mandatory. For Free, that doesn't work so well, because well.. they are Free.

dena that's a thought, but again, it doesn't work very well. A Free pledging to a home is not the same as a slave submitting to a collar.
Many Free will resist such a requirement, to the point of just going to another site. It's a fine line.
