Doesn't happen often.....but when it does I deal with it swiftly. I have been known to backhand disrespectful slaves before......if the offense was very offensive.......and I have also spoken to the Master of the slave involved. It has been an on going problem that * some * slaves seem to get blamed or accussed of actions that other slaves seem to feel THEY should get off scout free for.... the accusseres always working from the shadows ..but making the accussed stand in ther spot light..... then when the owner(s) of the accussed see just what is tring to be pulled on their property, they refuse to take the bait..... and the cycle repeats and repeats.... until the issue is so clouded that many don't or can't even remember WHO it got started in the first place...

If nothing else, it is simple courtesy to show respect to someone, even your enemies.
After all, if you always smile and nod politely to someone who is an enemy, they might get worried, thinking you are up to something.

To me Respect online is a given... the depth of that is earnt..
online it is difficult to judge as one rarely meets another in RT to get to know the person behind the screen
here in R/P there are some I respect online more than others... I can only judge by their written words and actions...

an example.... one person can have a title or rank, and seem to be due respect... but by action or lack there of, show that they really have none.... while an enemy can try to injure or fight with someone, but in such a way as to inspire respect for them AS an enemy... it is always a * personal * thing between people......

Altho the Gorean Free are not know to be, in a whole, cruel....yet that power is what hangs over a slave's head and courtesy, good manners are too weak words to use.
