It has been decided that white silk slaves will be allowed in the Tavern without their trainer or a Captain present.
This is with the understanding the girl is still fully restricted, she will kneel in tower and provide no sexual services.
In other words, her behavior in the Tavern will be the same as if she were in the Piazza.
If a Free tries to use the girl sexually, she is to make her departure immediately.
so would it make sense that a white silk slave can go private to practice serves?

It is just that, in the books, slaves were not one big lovey dovey happy family, all thinking each other the most beautiful creature alive. They were in competition with each other for the attention of the Free, and in competition for a higher standing in the slave hierarchy, from first girl on down. Thus they didn't hesitate to argue and report each other's least infraction to the girl above them, and so on. In a way not unlike prison fighting to establish pecking order, though not, of course, as violent.
Anyway, some have thought it might bring more realism and interest to role-play.
