Ok, first of all, for as long as ja's been around, and it's been a while now, there's always been moaning about the diminishing numbers in the online Gorean population.
Second, ja'dain thinks that it is because many of the "old ones" have left due to what online Gor has become. And although they may not outnumber the ones who remain, they were very vocal, and noticable. Thus, when they went away, it was noticed.

And jaz, couldn't agree more. When ja forst came to GS, when she logged in, she could almost tangibly feel herself in a tavern. That feeling is long gone now.

Markos~~~ this topic was brought up at last night's forum and tho I thing there is many reasons, some seasons, some as shirin pointed out, things change, and some are because looking about, where is the structure in our home, where are the Captains, mainly the most W/we see and interact with are advisors, looking to Lemuel and Lady Kayla

We as a site keep getting a pledges We are alittle low on slaves for the Tavern but most Patrons own one or more... but never can have enough Tavern girls to attract more New Free *S* but last Novmember I remember alot of people asking this question... it just happens in waves... comes and goes

As most know, the Captains have had a lot of r/t to deal with in the last several months. That means that the Advisors have had to step up and take on more responsibility just to keep things running.

jaz knows for her.. the reason that she's not been around as often lately is because of rt.. after her lil adventure during the summer.. she realized the importance moreso about family time..

We all have lives outside this tavern. P.K.'s know I would like to be online more, but there is only so much free time and I have to divide that between a great many things.
marissa{HoS}~~~ this is where one has gotten totally confused with some of the things that are being bandied about because it sounds like the ones that are in the rooms regularly are accused of running the tavern and yes the ones that are supposed to be are complaining about it at the same time while they are absent. she thinks that it is a case of wanting some cake and its glaze too. both can not be done ::whispering - not specifically speaking ot anyone::
BladeBane's ja`dain~~~ It's not a question of satisfaction, Master Gornt. ja likes coming into GS still, even if that original thrill is gone, but....Master comes first and thus rt comes first.
Markos~~~ I personally have no problems with how the Advisors are handling things, and after speaking with Lady Kayla last night and Her shedding new light on the matter I have to agree, but some I have talked to feel the Lady and a few other FW are running the place
Lemuel~~~ ~nodding to Gornt~ Aye, and people change. When I first found online Gor 10 years ago I didn't like it at all. There were far too many boys playing at being Warriors then, IMO. When I came back I was pleasantly surprised to find more diversity in the roleplay.
marissa{HoS}~~~ Mistress is the One that is here the most as far as she can tell. if these Masters have problems with it why don't They start showing up regularly again. personally one feels that Mistress is one of the Ones that is keeping this tavern as strong as it is simply because She is here

For us, or myself, anyway, coming into GS is a way to connect with those who have become a family, and the roleplay is not the attraction for me... Master does enjoy the roleplay, for he plays all sorts of tabletop RPG's offline, and loves developing characters... it isn't so much a tavern issue for me as it is an issue of fitting into the roleplay and making a differentiation between it and real life...

Kyoto~~~ Were they mentioned at all? The only blood suckers I can recall, aside from some of the merchants, were those plants.

Lemuel~~~ ~chuckles~ Yes Kyoto, they mentioned "sting flies" in a couple of the later books and the blood sucking plant was mentioned in Outlaw, but I don't think it was mentioned after that.
