CAPTAINS BURNING OUT - UNABLE TO ROLE PLAY ETC AND FW IN PAGA TAVERN?

galah{GS} there has been much talk at forums and slave classes about burnout, and believe me, galah knows about that first hand all to well as you know i was gone from gs for a very long time, only recently returning, but what bothers me now and isn't talked about as much, is Captain burnout, maybe even Master burnout.....gal would like the council to consider, and the ppl of gs to think about, and that would NOT ask to whisper Captains when they come in....they also like to role play and enjoy their time here, but they are swamped with whispers and problems...the council works as a whole, and no one captain can make decisions, so send complaints to the council to deal with on a whole and leave the captains be to enjoy some role play?

galah{GS} gal remembers a time way long ago, where Master Rollo come into the tavern and had many slaves offering serve, so he ordered up a bowl of ta grapes...upon getting said grapes, he plucked them from the stem and rolled them across the tavern and told the girls to find a grape and ready herself to push the grape with their noses back to him....what fun days those was....and how long since anything like that has happened in GS?

If any of you can remember, I seldom if ever took a serve from any slave..why ??? because I was always PMing or talking to others about Council business or problems from the second I walked thru the door.... I chose to not insult any slave by NOT being able to give her effort my total attention..that it deserved.... so I just didn't get served.... now, how does THAT look to both slaves and the other Free ??? like I didn't give a shit ??? that is what I was told at times....

galah{GS} **claps for Master Jake** yes, a good answer.....this room isn't RP so much as its to make changes and such....IF a captain felt he was wanting to deal with some problem or the other, he could come to the forum room and ppl would know they could air out problems here....but keep the stuff outta the RP rooms....this room is generally only used once or maybe on occasion twice a week....let the captains pick their poison when they feel like dealing with things?

galah{GS} this might be alil off topic, but gal thought moving to our own domain with many rooms would be wonderful....it ended up being a curse i think.....for now we have our big happy family all split up so now there are not even enough ppl for one room....FW was given their own room, the Piazza, but its a no force collar room so the FW feel invincible, when we was all in one room in the early days, FW minded their manners heheheheheeeeee but because there are separate rooms, FW complain cause slaves go to the tavern instead of the piazza...but of course a slave is gonna serve men before women....then there goes the complaints, flying around to the captains to fix things, is there a way to fix it?

Nerius I think council should meet at least once every two weeks....chain of commands should be followed and as is stated in the rules ....no whispering the free without permission...that should pertain to everyone...and finally forum is the other op for discussing matters
Rollo the Ax The DEEP and ABIDING truth of this whole issue is that there never was nor will there be any SIMPLE answers.... yes, a Captain could just say * don't bug Me, I am here to RP.. * but then he looks like a slackerd how doesn't care.... or he works on every problem, and in doing so neglects his own slaves or friends... make and follow rules..?? We have some of the best and most thought out rules of ANY Gorean chat site on-line...... a balance of RT, VT, and Gorean philosophy..... but far too often, somebody doesn't like them or some part of them and BAMM, more shit hits the fan........

galah{GS} yes Master Cavy....and if the FW don't like whats going on in the tavern, then they can still go to the piazza, i'm not even suggesting that we go back to having only one room again....the piazza was also suppose to be a lighter room for newcomers, it could still be that, and more latitude could be given to FW in the piazza, but to have it a complete safe place? that only makes the FW think they can get away with anything

I am as guilty if not more so than any other Captain... the constant fighting and bickering between those that at one time called each other FRIEND, brother, or family got to be such a sore point that I dreaded even walking in the door...not wanting to see what NEW pile of shit had been dumped in the middle of GS... add that to poor health, and it became more easy to not take the time and effort to even come here.... it is one thing to have your body in pain and deal with it... but to have your soul and your heart in pain also ?????

Rollo the Ax LOL.. somebody offered this as an answer to petty bickering between folks.... a * Three strike * policy.... three complaints to the Council about any person NOT acting properly or causing problems between two people, and they get banned from even speaking to each other.... NO open insults or petty bullshit statements...No PMs or whispers... agree to agree to ignore each other... and ANY case of using others to TRY and hassle ...like getting other free to harass, or slaves to do so.... would result in at first a limited ban from GS all together........
