As one of the newest members, I can say that even with my limited knowledge of Gor, I have been accepted and treated very well my almost everyone... there have been a couple of people who pointed out the fact that i am a stranger and clearly wished nothing to do with me. that however is rare and i have been made to feel most welcome

Personally...i think it has to do with the new commers approach... if the walk in and start right off with spreading sluts thighs...then i am not that interested in getting to know them. If they run for the i'm a Capped Nick and am God...it's silly to me. If they come and wish to learn, explore before acting like this is their home, then i'm okay and will give back what i get (i.e. curiosity, interest and general information and interaction)...

roni has stated at times she does feel unwelcomed here...so thinking it isn't just new people that feel that way......many times roni struggles to find someone to serve it is the same Masters or Mistress that has roni serve time after time....which is ok by roni but sometimes it is difficult when roni enters to serve then another slave enters after roni and asks to serve that slave gets picked....or the same slave are asked over and over to dance......other slaves are not...for example roni was here one night during dance night and was asked if she would dance but the one in charge just ignored or skipped over...then when collarings get posted on the board why are some collarings responded by more then others??? does this all Make sense???? there are groups here that are close and some aren't in those groups...thought we were all family here

as stated before, for the most part free and slave alike have accepted me and many have been helping me learn. there have been just a few pointed comments such as " glares at the stranger" .. that arent particularly needed even though the whole stranger = enemy thing is well stated in the books.. I feel it isnt in the best interest of convinving someone to become a paying member

I have an idea for a fun activity for getting to know people... we do this at cheering.
We have a big bowl of M&M's, and everyone takes a small handful. Then, we go around the circle and each person has to tell something about themself for each M&M in their hand!
I know we can't *really* do that here, but it would be nice to get to know one another better. Aside from names, I don't know a thing about most GS'ers anymore... it would be nice to feel like a family.

One of the reasons the Council has decided to keep GS role playing during a time when Port Kar didn't have a Homestone was that in the books it mentions that Port Kar not having Homestone made strangers more welcome then in other cities. We should be practicing that.
