I have seen good points delivered about whether a slave can have honor or not on both sides...

If a Master owns all that is a slave, then would he not own her 'honor' as well? So then that means that her honor is her Masters. If she dishonor's herself, she dishonors her Master...but that could also be read that she has no honor...

I agree Thadron that there are points in the books that point both ways. Though I never saw a Free in the books feeling that His/Her honor has been besmirched by bad behavior on the prt of one of Their slaves.

I tend to think of it as kind of like My feelings about My dogs' behavior. If one of my dogs pottied on someone else's carpet, I would feel chagrined because I thought I had them better trained than that. However, I would not feel that My honor had been besmirched.

girl thinks a person's honor can only be besmirched by his or her own actions...But certainly a slave can brings embarrassment and even ridicule to her Owner...and her own honor is tainted by her own actions..It could affect His business, even His finances, if His slaves are thought to be sub par in their training or behavior...
This has been discussed so many times, and girl doubts anyone ever changes their mind about it...
